the problem with female au ra was that the artwork they presented for them was completely dicarded and they became a super watered down version of what was shown. Some people realy liked the direction they were going with the artwork. instead we got "porcelain dolls".

People worry if we ever get female hrothgar they will be "watered down".

I'm not sure that female hrothgar would be watered down. Au ra is a unique race to ffxiv. The devs didn't have anything to go off of, so they just did whatever. At least with hrothgar, we know they are based off of ronso, and we already know what male and female ronso look like. Since there's something to go off of, I wouldn't worry too much about anything being watered down - at least not to the extent female au ra was from some of their concept art.

Well the devs have confirmed that hrothgar are ronso, and the female ronso from FFX didn't look like humans with token animal features. By confirming this they have set the audience's expectations as to what a female would look like. So I'm pretty sure if we get female hrothgar then they would be suitably bestial.

And yea the female worgen were such a disappointment. The males look like they are part wolf or deadly hound, while the females look like they are part terrier :S

But knowing them they'll probably give us males as being full lion headed beasts and the females will be Femroes with Miqo'te ears and nothing else.
