New DRK is awful. Here’s why and what could be done about it.

I'm saying that probably nobody who is enjoying the Dark Knight for its Gameplay right now will be enjoying him tomorrow. Why the heck would they, if anyone currently playing DRK would enjoy its 5.0 playstyle, they would already be playing WAR and PLD.
It is hella slow. And people who like inner release already have WAR. People who like Inner Release with Mana have PLD.

I can't really see anyone defending ShB DRK as anything but people who enjoy DRK purely for aesthetics and don't care about gameplay.

Dark Knights speed isn't really an opinion.

DRK has the same 2.5 sec GCD like every other tank. He also has 5 off-GCD attacks and 3 buffs to trigger.

He will be slower than before, but not slow in comparsion to other tanks.

There is only one slow job in the game, and that is BLM.

But I think I will also enjoy the new DRK gameplay-wise. It's so braindead that even I can play it.

Thats why you keep playing. Dont speak for 'drk mains' anymore than i can speak for all 'war mains' like the old gauge build up playstyle when lots of people like unga bunga. Or drks that regularly post about liking fighting with a greatsword, or the edgy aesthetic, the lore, or a million other things that arent 'the gameplay'. Drks are a varied people that like different things. Its quite presumtious to assume all of them are just here because GOTTA GO FAST!

Why do you care about how other people enjoy DRK? There is no absolute rule on how people should feel when playing and those commenting on the forums are minuscule in comparison to the in game population.

I find it funny that dark knights have been asking for scourge back for nearly years while being told that we couldn't have stand alone dots for various reasons, and now salted earth has been nerfed into the ground while adding two dots to gun breaker.

Sure those vocal on the forums are a minority of the player base. But I don't see anyone publicly surveying the wider population to get their opinion so this is the best we've got.

At the same time you can't asume either all the ones that like the changes are pure DRK mains and not just casuals or whatever main they are now like DRK bcs póster boy and didn't care about the job on the past, or just pick It casualy sometimes bcs animations.
