People are forgetting the male versions are more savage than the female Viera. The males are not gonna be pop stars - they do not remotely live in the same situations and atmosphere that the female Viera do. I'm not worried about them not looking somewhat fierce. Also, hey Theo, nice to see you again.



Anything to do with a black outfit and something remotely sexy is obviously a hat tilt towards Beyonce.

So, the males will (IMO sadly, becuase it's kinda old to see the same thing for everyone) have more fierce animations, but the viera race as a whole, which has by the way been confirmed on an interview by YoshiP, is graceful and beatiful, so they literally said that if they created a male viera it will be like male elezen with elegant and graceful animations. I hope they give male elezen miqote body fusion the same way they did with female viera.

Then, im not saying Beyonce was their inspiration, and it's likely that their inspiration came from lingerie stores considering how their 'armor' looks lol, but:

I don't think it's 'old' for the men to be fierce looking. Fierce isn't equal to ugly. They can be handsome but still look imposing and regal.

I also don't care if they wear revealing attire. Most people responding to this thread don't - and suggestions for them to wear loincloths have gained a lot of support. So I'm not sure what the problem is. I don't want them to wear a straight up copy of the female outfit, though.

To be fair, there are a lot of outfits that can be worn by a female Viera and no one would bat an eye. They are literally wearing the outfit they were introduced in, in 12. There are also Miqo'te, Au Ra, Hyurs, Roe, and even Lalafell in FFXIV who are dressed as skimpy as possible. This isn't something unique to Viera. It's clothes. Look at the hempen set for some of the races.

Women and men will never truly have the same fashion. Not unless they're cross dressing. Men clothes just aren't as unique or vastly styled as women clothes are - and that's okay. It's typically more acceptable for women to be dressed in something "sexier" and revealing than it is for men. Men clothes are boring. They get shirts and jeans.

Whether they wear a loincloth or are fully covered doesn't matter to me. I'm personally not picky about the racial gear male viera might have. I think most players would wear something else anyway.

Actually, conidering that female viera have a Beyonce stage outfit and super model proportions, I think it's very likely we will get a 'pop star' looking outfit (like, black metal thingie with very unique design, like what a pop star would wear) and a super model looking male viera, and since fem viera have female miqote copy pasted body with elezen proportions (except the necks lol) it's likely we will get male miqote with elezen height and adult/mature/graceful emotes (adult in the sense of, this isn't something a teenager will do, they look very elegant and educate)

Agreed. I'm thinking the male racial outfit should be something like Michael Jackson's thriller outfit. It would make total sense.

Like, I don't know. Do people still expect male Viera to look adorable and cute? I know the devs don't always follow up on lore for appearance, but there's no denying the fact that most of the NPC male Viera we come across will most likely not be adorable or cute if added. They're isolationists, savage and cold. Sometimes I think folks forget that is literally the one race where the guys are known to be downright murderous.

If they find you in the woods and you're not escorted or have permission by a) the matriarch b) the greater wood/jungle spirit. They will kill you. It doesn't matter why you're there. You could be lost and have wandered in, your reasons could be something that is beyond aggression - they don't care. 'Shoot first, ask questions never.' And the time they do ask questions, they kill them after.

These guys are very close in personality to a mix of Bosmer and Altmer from Elder Scrolls. While the females are more open and will spare you, the men will not. Honestly doesn't surprise me that if there wasn't a Matriarch and instead of a Patriarch the males would have bred endlessly and probably started to purge the other races. That's just how they're wired - from what we know of them so far.

Well, men and women have had the exact same fashion in the past (see ancient greece, ppl only wore skirts) and what society considers 'men's' clothes are boring AF, and that's not ok at all imo. Men should be able to dress in something that's as revealing as women, and women should have the option to wear the boring ass 'male' clothes

A man wearing a skirt is nothing to scoff at. You have freedom of movement, and air flow.
