Point #5 was a beautiful way to put word it.I used google translate to read some of the posts in their dark knight thread, and they appear to touch on a number of things which are being brought up in our posts. ***Google translate doesn't seem to do a great job at capturing nuanced things specific to language so alot of what I read as a direct translation didn't make sense and needed some reading between the lines.
Living dead is a weak Holmgang.
Mana generation seems low.
TBN might not break and represents risk without reward.
Someone mentions wanting the haste effect back.
Another raises a concern that defensively we aren't magically strong, we are physically weak.
HP sustain seems to be tuned abit low.
Carve and spit seems to have been significantly weakend... 200 potency and some mana for 60 second recast seems low.
Delirium seems to be a knock off Inner release.
Living Shadow doesn't seem to have any gameplay interaction.
They are saying the same things as we are.
- Very active, fast paced gameplay from lower gcd in BW and crapton of ogcd weaving. High APM as they say.
- Flexibility of sustained dps with adjustable burst.
- Resource management - both MP and Blood, as well as how they work off each other.
I do also dig the edgy aesthetics a lot, but that is not enough. I love WAR themes of brutality and channeling battle rage to protect others as well, but I couldn't enjoy the job since 4.2 changes, to the point of almost never touching it after DRK got slight buffs and I no longer felt forced to play WAR for the sake of my team. I don't want this to happen with my attitude to DRK in SHB.
Be really, really awesome if ShB Darkside got current Blood Weapon's haste effect. Then Dark Knight could exclusively be the "speedy tank".
No need for the haste effect considering the potency increase for the soul eater combo. It’s just straight up edge with a side of fray, I like it.
Its not about dps, we don't know what final numbers are, and they are likely to change. The speed effect is about the gameplay, not our effectiveness.
DRK pass from 47 cpms to 37 this expansion, it's going to be equally slowly as a PLD more or less, and SKS materia is a trash option to cover the lack speed buff specially without speed modifiers, DRK become a tortoise now.
Got you fam! You can always ask Astro for arr- OH WAIT! well it won’t be too bad, most DRK will get use to it. If not you can always play ninja, or monk, they fast bois.
