    I think the Aiming makes more sense because DNC's main combos are both ranged, throwing skills that they have to aim towards a boss. Compared to NIN who has only has Fuma (Throwing Dagger is never used) while everything else they do is melee (or magiced-based ninjutsu). It doesn't matter if it's slashing versus piercing because those damage types are essentially dead with the removal of resistance downs. So I don't confine the job to that.

    For consistency, they probably kept it Aiming because it's a physical ranged job. Not a melee. Doesn't bother me really because now I can use some of my fav Aiming glamours on it. Plus it will actually give me a job to flex in raids without having to worry about getting two different sets of gear (i.e., Aiming AND Scouting).

    I could see them using their classic 'Mix' action akin to the Ninja Mudras in order to create different effects, like a strong single target DoT, an AoE DoT, AoE healing (Mega-Potion perhaps?), etc.
    Now regarding a weapon, I honestly can't really think of what they could possibly use. Perhaps some kind of blender crossbow? A mortar and pestle?

    Alternatively, I could see Green Mage as a healer. They could be a melee healer using a one-handed mace or hammer, specialized on giving defensive buffs around. It would be like the Ying to the Yang that is AST with their offensive buffs. We could get Protect back as a single target strong shield that reduces the incoming damage for a small duration, same for Shell, and perhaps even get Reflect in some way or form. Maybe even get Bubble as a strong oGCD buff that increases the max health of the party for a while? I dunno how all this would work balance wise but when it comes to healers I think we're starting to run out of 'classic' FF jobs, so I'd expect one of those two.

    Regarding DPS, we'd still need one more ranged DPS to round out the numbers. That way we'd have 4 tanks, 4 healers, 4 ranged physical, 4-ish magical DPS (not even sure if I should count BLU as a class at this point) and 4 Melee DPS.

    I expect the next ranged physical class to be a FFXIV original similar to Astrologian (since we've only gotten this class on Tactics, I think?). Maybe something with a crossbow? Head Hunter or Bounty Hunter, using a crossbow and specializing in 'Killer' attacks (Imagine a non-magical Gun Mage from FFX-2, perhaps).

    I could also see another magical DPS coming as I really can't take BLU seriously as a class since we'll never be able to use it like any other class. A Necromancer would be an interesting one as a more 'dark' mage (even though technically BLM is the edgy dark darkness dark mage in the game).
    Alternatively, maybe a Geomancer (even though they're closer to a Conjurer in FF14). They could have Seals, like 'Seal of Wind', or 'Seal of Flood', 'Seal of Quake', or just make use of the classic Quake, Flood and Tornado attacks this game is sorely missing, especially now that WHM is starting to move away from the earth, wind and water and go to the more WHM holy attacks.

    So, personally, I'd like to see a new Healer for sure, and perhaps a ranged physical or magical. Yes, melee DPS would be left two expansions without a new toy but well.. I suppose they'll feel the pain of all the Healers in 5.0 for once?
    I don't think BLU counts in this regard either, and seeing as we're getting a ranged physical DPS this expansion, I'm guessing we get a Healer and a ranged magic DPS for 6.0

    Would love to see a healer/druid/herbalist with spells that resemble all kind of herbs and trees everything nature origin related in general, not sure but could be a continuation of fairy beast tribes.

    I predict/hope for one edgy healer (chemist or a variant off of necromancer/hemomancer--although green mage could happen too imo) and a new caster tbh. I think the jobs are going to sort into four in each subcategory. Since we just got the third ranged DPS, I suspect the fourth will either come later (possibly accompanied by one or two limited jobs and/or a new crafting job) or alongside the next two jobs. Melee is full, tank is full.

    On fourth caster, I think if green mage isn't classed as a healer it's likely here. I personally would be 100% down with a new job for FFXIV though, and have a few ideas on what might be fun. Disclaimer, these are basically "I would like" rather than "I realistically think it could happen" lol.

    Jester - Manipulates the aether of the environment against targets. Can essentially make invisible walls in the air to slam targets with, drop heavy objects on enemies, can manifest pies to hurl and inflict the blind status, etc. Very humor-based, has a ridiculous number of status effects it can inflict. I think the aesthetic would also have a lot of potential.

    Gray Mage - Balancing against black and white mage without being either. I develop certain concepts around aesthetic potential, and for Gray I think something kind of ragged and mournful would make sense. Frankly if edgy healer didn't end up being necromancer or similar I suspect this might be. Some lore about putting the dead to rest and entreating the fallen for help, limited spook factor. Probably involving a combination of pets (I think the idea of a small bhoot is interesting) and various draining spells.

    Yellow Mage - Balancing against the primary red and blue mages without being either. This is super unlikely to happen at all, let alone how I describe, but since red mage is a combination of black and white magic while using a swashbuckler look and blue is a dandy drawing from the abilities of beasts, I think it might be fun if Yellow Mage tied into inanimate objects and machines a bit. Not the same as machinist or magitek in-general, closer to a puppeteer but with a kind of steampunk look. Yellow is more of a gold or brassy look, possibly with bright blue accents to make things pop. Part of the trick here though would be to make it mechanically different from summoner and machinist, and idk exactly how that would go. Alternatively maybe this could be a transformation caster? Turn self and allies into crazy monstrosities with various abilities attached.

    By feminine image I refer to the majority of the healer gear, and though I guess it's not really job-specific, each job's canonical image appears to affect the pool of gear all healers get. I'm rarely ever able to use healer gear in glamours.

    My whises:

    -Get rid of trick attack and stop building every job around this damm skill.

    - while I want it during this expansion a full rework of DRK mechanics and bring back his original flow and no more ungaBunga inner delirium window.

    -more diversity between the jobs specially the tank jobs.

    What I expect:

    -more focus in the universal burst window and more jobs getting gutted to fit this.

    -DRK stay the same if not even worse BCS let's make everything braindead easy

    -GNB gameplay nerfed and substituted by a new shinny inner beast version BCS why not, that's the Devs fav course of action.

    Not going to happen. The devs keep moving away from micromangement so I doubt they'd go in this direction.

    I'd like a less magic-based Healer. Like a chemist or something. A little disappointed DNC isn't a healer but w/e.
