Glamour Dresser Update - Why so little?

You can't use retainers when you're not in your home server.

Also retainer info is likely stored differently because you don't carry retainers around with you. You need to access them with the summoning bell, so that is when the information is requested from the server. Whereas for things like glam plates and your personal inventory, all that is constantly carried on your character. When you visit another server all that info your character is carrying needs to be tracked.

The reason why we cannot access retainers on other servers has something to do with how that information is accessed (retainer info is tied to servers, likely a side effect of how selling on the mb works) rather than world visiting itself presenting a roadblock.

However, the glamour plates are already restricted in that you can only use them in major settlements (Idyllshire, Ishgard, RR, Kugane & the 3 starting cities - including in the inn rooms, and the 4 housing areas). If they wanted to, they could potentially limit glamour plates to only within inn rooms on visited worlds (since your glamour dresser and plates do transfer to the other worlds). I feel this could help alleviate the issues, as it would only have to dial back to your home realm when you're visiting an inn room. Less information to tussle with then.

They've never fixed it though. So it's still the reason. If you're the one to step up to the execs and make the case for dropping a bundle on upgrades in infrastructure along with the workforce to do it alongside developing new things so that current players don't leave, please sign that check or make that presentation.

They should fix it. That's the issue.
It shouldn't be a reason, but it continues to be because they aren't dealing with the issue.

I don't think I need to make my case as to why no fixing these issues, and having to tip-toe around them whenever they decide to make content is a bad idea.

I see "servers can't handle it, can't do because of the way it's coded" all the time, for all kinds of things and if that's legitimately the reason? What on Earth went on to make that happen??
Starting to make me think they coded some spaghetti onto a toaster to run parts of this game. Some of these limitations are just flat out bizarre. It's like WoW's unexpandable base inventory bag x500.

If they gave you 1k spots in the dresser and 30 plates I guarantee you people on this forum would complain it isn't enough. There are technical limitations. Deal with it.

I think they should at least give us the option to buy more slots in the moggle store, im pretty sure there are a lot of people that would buy some.

I'm saying the case has been made before, by myself in several cases. But it's very apparent they were not allowed the entire rework it would require to make a different system if after 3 expansions it remains. Every time we get some sort of useful feature update regarding glamour we get someone who's entire post is about how the update isn't good enough and "they should really just make a better system".

It can't be overused if they've likely proposed the solution to their uppers time and time again and been told "No". It's the reason. I see no reason to continually harp on it as it's likely we will in fact never see a rework of the magnitude needed.
