    I think it's a great idea the Trust system, currently 2 weeks from the release of ShB, I see an unlikely number of Noob in the dungeon, people with stuff, but unable to provide a good Dps is distressing!

    From what I've seen on video, it looks good, as Naoki Yoshida says in an interview, if you have to control AI it will not work well, but if these AI are well programmed with good scripts, it can work, like some fight in MSQ.

    The event FFXV, to show us that it could work well, I had no problem managing the tactics with Noctis, just put the boss and see where he left and we act accordingly.

    I think this event was a very good example that it can work and often it's better than some Noob in a dungeon.


    Regarding your concern about the spirit of MMO, the Trust system is made for MSQ dungeons only, alternative dungeons might not be concerned.

    Whatever the effectiveness of this system it will remain inferior to a good group of players.

    Trust system is the way to get rid of the MMO aspect of the game.

    I am seriously scared this is gonna be the downfall of FFXIV is they expand this feature.

    I would really love to say out loud that I've been wrong once it comes out, but honestly, downsides are way more important for that feature alone...

    Now that's my opinion. But I'm worried.
    The trust system takes longer than with a competent group. I don't see it replacing players.

    I dread dungeons with real people due to toxic and childish behaviors so I am looking forward to trust. I will most likely hit the first set on my main and then use trust for job chars that I am not as adept with.

    The only thing I worry about the Trust system is it clogging the server instancing system, since rather than 1,000 groups of 4, you could potentially have 4,000 solo instances running.

    You don't need to worry because it will always be slower than with a preformed groupe.
    One could argue "welp what if you have a bad player that would make the group wipe?" , well, those bad player would probably still wipe in the trust group anyway.

    I don't intend to use the trust system except for leveling dps job when the queue are 20min long (I rather do it with bot for 30Min than wait 20 and then do 15-20min of dungeon)
    And probably one time to see Alisee charge and die, Y.P said she'd do that a lot. I want to see it with my own eyes.

    One of my friend is in love for the system only to make more screenshot. She always ask people to come with her in dungeon so she can move around and do gpose n stuff. (thing is we're all bored of doing that XD)
    She'll finally be able to do it for hours, alone.

    I ran the dungeon with Trusts as a Gunbreaker and brought along Alphinaud, Alisae, and Minfilia. I was later told by the staff that I chose a “Hard Mode” combination of characters. Amusingly, I had a harder time completing the dungeon when I ran it again with three real people.

    In the recent PLL there was a slide that said something on the lines of "You will have a more much efficient experience doing the content with other players"

    So they're in the know that it's not going to be the optimal way to play the game. I consider Trust to be perfect for people who are leveling alt DPS jobs as DPS queues can take the longest compared to healing/tanking.

    It'll be a fun thing to try it but it will not replace what we're used to with four players, and they know this. That's the big reason why this is currently just for 5.0 dungeons as to help people out with current story content.

    Hell I'd much rather play with Trust then use the squadrons as while they have amazing stats and take little damage, are as dead as a plank of wood unless you tell them to do something. But since neither squadrons nor trust can't optimize on a situation as much as normal people can it will make going through main jobs/tanks/healers a much better time with normal people.
