    [DEV ???] Primal weapons need to go to pool. 100 battles 0 weapons (100% Totem/Nut)

    I don't care if this is the 1.000.000th thread on this subject this really needs to change.

    Firstly there's not many people on each server that goes to these things and out of the few that does I have received nothing.

    I see all my friends that have 5+ moogle drops already and im stuck at 0.
    They don't do Ifrit anymore because they have 7/7 and guess how many I have.. 0.

    I have done over 81 Ifrit battles and got 0 drops and 0 totem.
    Everytime we go they always get doubles of weapons they can't even use it just goes to waste.

    Now I have done 19 moogle battles and got 0 drops. Just this run three people got weapons.. All were doubles.. Well I do have 1 kupo nut charm.. so at this rate I can get a weapon after maybe 400 battles?!

    Seriously why? This needs to change.
    POOL THE WEAPONS NOW! PLEASE

    Weapons in dungeons are pooled its not impossible.. Either that or make the Nuts and totems 100% drops.. Not like there will be all that many extra weapons flooding in.. That's one guaranteed weapon per 3 runs.

    They'll improve the drop rate when you can answer the question of what you'll do after you get everything you want (other than not play anymore, that is).

    I agree that the current system is bad.

    1. Drops should not be going to waste. System needs to be fixed in a way that items do not get tossed in garbage.

    2. Totem/Nut items should have much higher drop rate than weapons. Chances are, by the time I get 10/20 totem/nut I will already have all the weapons I want anyway, unless my party always gives me all the nuts, which is unlikely because everyone wants the totem/nut too.

    3. Actually the addition of totem/nut under current circumstances only makes things worse because now there is a chance to get a nut instead of a weapon. At least before when I got a rare drop it was a weapon. Now when I get a rare drop it could possibly be only 1/10th or 1/20th of a weapon ...


    Imo, ideal system would be something like 100% drop of the totem/nut item, but takes more of them to get a weapon, like maybe 30-40. Also keep the rare drop of a weapon right away from the chest. This way if you still didn't get a weapon after 30-40 tries, you can fall back on your totem/nuts. You feel like you are getting somewhere even if it takes a long time. Unlike current system, when you get dark matter, you feel like you just wasted your time and effort.

    Its not the drop rate per se its more the fact that it should be in the treasure pool from the beginning.
    I have never seen a 'MMO' game that does not allow this. I say 'MMO' because i don't count whiteknight chronicles as a MMO it has online sure.. but even then some items are guaranteed even if its not what you were after.

    This system does need to change, but I'm pretty sure it still all comes down to the RNG in the game, since I see the weapons everywhere so it can't be such a horrible drop rate that no one will get a weapon ever (Hell I got my bow after damn well 32 kills) but the content can essentially be spammed that it doesn't matter in the end, some people have better luck than others but unless they change the entry conditions and cooldown timer, it's likely they won't adjust the drop rates directly let alone put them into a universal pool like other raids till they get other content into place (Jobs and the next dungeons in 1.21 for example.)

    Why the developers came up with this retarded design is beyond me, even without a pool or need/greed they should have just kept the current setup of items go to random player pools and allow them to trade it around.

    It..baffles me, its pathetic really imo.

    It angers me most that this idea was even thought of and makes me worry about future things they do and the idiotic systems they put into those.

    Why didn't they let it go to pool? Were they afraid of "bad behavior" or something? we would have had to let a LOT less things go to waste.....
