Techicnally in OP I dont go quite necromancer, and later I add a few points against zombies and skeletons. The world shouldn't see this job as a paladin though that's for sure.

By that logic we shouldn't have Black Mage, White Mage, or Dark Knight as jobs either.

White magic is practiced only by those the elementals deem worthy, usually just the padjal, and then the WoL. Black magic is frowned upon, but not technically illegal. Dark knight just kind of does its own thing, akin to the inquisitors, but not controlled by the Holy See.

    IIRC correctly anyway.

I'd be interested in this, since it'd be a unique Healer aesthetic, and at this point, I'd be more interested in FFXIV adding new/original jobs rather than pulling from the rest of the franchise. We've got our bases covered pretty well on classic jobs, I think.

We do have reflect though. It's in Eureka, however.

As is summoning. On face value there are even wars over it.

WoL is always the exception to the lore. It's why we can be a manqo'te DRK or Buduga SCH. I'd like to see something new and absolutely heretical, but self taught. Lock it behind MSQ progression for emphasis like the HW jobs. We are the WoL, and with our absolutely out of this world talent and blessings, I think we could have a self taught job, as it were. Find a book on it to unlock it, perhaps add multi step dungeon prerequisites (Gubal+Hard related perhaps) and with that, teach ourselves.

No teacher needed, no one to balk because- hoo boy, I don't think even Ser Aymeric would have appreciated us infiltrating the Vault swinging around our giant DRK sword and being absolute heretics as much as he loves us.

    I'd kill for NCR healer.

And then i'd raise that which i killed

It could probably be about drawing forth soul energy from the lifestream to heal allies and attack enemies. Likely a defensive healer. Have "Raise Dead" be the ressurect and maybe have them have a trait that reduces their weakness duration, since a necromancer would probably be more skilled at bringing someone back than, say, a WHM

I like the idea don't get me wrong, but what I want more than that is a Disciple of War healer (hence why I was crazy for DNC being a healer, it would have been a DoW healer). (as well as a Disciple of Magic tank). Right now if you're a healer you're DoM, if you're a tank you're DoW. DPS flutters between the 2, why not get healers and tanks to do the same?

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
