You can quote all the people you want, but quoting them doesn't cancel the fact that you're spamming the forums with "opinions" that completely lack the backing of direct experience.

You state that the game is a 1 fest. I'm not surprised, given that you're so low level that you can barely fill a bar. Personally I have trouble fitting all the abilities I use regularly on two bars. It may be a 1 fest if you don't use the tools you're given, or if you didn't even progress enough through the game to *have* those tools.
Pretty much like in every MMORPG out there.

If you cannot be compelled to get above Rank 15 then that's enough evidence that the game is poor. As someone who has reached endgame and completed almost everything I can at this point other than class quests I have yet to unlock, there's not much to see after 15. I sure didn't.

All this game has is levelling and even that is a complete waste of time. And if your game cannot motivate people to get higher than 15, well i say motivate theres nothing beyond 15. Then you've failed hard!

If you think that the game is just 1 1 1 like he (very wrongly) stated, then I'm afraid you're not nearly performing as well as you should, especially in a group.

This is just one of the many things you won't even get near to understanding when you "review" a MMORPG game before even going beyond the newbie levels.

In any case reviewing any game without experiencing first hand at least a large part of it's leveling curve is ridiculous, and voids your opinion of any validity.

You take some things too seriously. He was not seriously denoting that all you do is press 1, I'm sure he realizes there's more to do than that; however, the amount you use your basic attacks or one particular attack is far higher than it should be.

they are always tweeking and always rewriting its own rules.


Also you guus wrere unrealistic with the expectations you guys wanted years woth of updates a5t launch.

also ffxi was out for 3 years ad ffxiv was in developement. so they had 3 years experience b4 starting to work on the game. the 2 dev teams don't keep tabs on other projects and typically only have 1 team per project. It takes years to make games.

personally i don't give a flip about reviews. I have fun in games that got reviewed poorly. That are always biased.

if the game is that bad, it wasn't for you. You don't have to like every mmo or every ff game. no shame in that. And a poor excuse to complain.

The widespread use of hyperbole is another of those elements that voids an opinion (and even more a review) of any validity.
When you give feedback, you need to be clear and to the point, otherwise the feedback won't be of any help.
When you give a review, you're performing a service (wether you're paid or not), and hyperbole is misleading, voiding any utility in the review.

Not really. If you play like that either you're level 10 or you're gimping yourself quite a lot. You can play 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 in every MMO out there. You won't do a good service to your group of course. The same is valid here.

Here's my review of BelgianRofl

Presentation - 3/10
Belgian sucks you in with his newspaper-like headline thread titles, once you see it, you have to click it. He does a good job of making his opening post relevant to his topic.

Graphics - 2/10
I find BelgianRofl to be very one dimensional. Some flash, but no substance.

Gameplay - 2/10
BelgianRofl constantly presses people's buttons. So don't expect to walk into happy territory, also Belgian's threads are basically repeats of previous threads or topics that people have brought up before. But Belgian is known to think of a gem or two.

Sound - 1/10
What can you say, BelgianRofl is loud. I'm hoping for more improvements in this area.

Lasting appeal - 1/10
After seeing a BelgianRofl thread one or two times, you pretty much know how the third thread is going to be. So you'll get bored very easily.
