    So once again:

How likely is it that no other player in the world who may choose to be a Paladin will dye their armor the same color you choose too? Doesn't that kill the "make people look a little different" argument? Will you complain at that person for dying the armor the same color as you?

Despite the fact you can dye armor now, I still see a lot of people looking alike because of the materia they've attached, so really, it's just 1 set of armor it's not a big deal if it's not able to be dyed, there will be literally hundreds of other sets to choose from that can be dyed. One undyable set of armor is not the end of the world or end of customization.

Hell in other MMOs I play, you can't even dye or attach enhancement stones to raid gear because the gear is colored by tier, people aren't complaining there about not being able to dye it even though people will seek out the gold sets which makes them look alike, since all it does is say "I completed (insert hard instance raid/boss) and here's my golden shirt."

Once again, you didn't read what I put. If there is still SOME kind of customization, I don't mind. The way people say BLACK MAGES WEAR BLACK is so wrong it's stupid. Black mages wore blue and a straw hat. You recognized them for their hat. White mages, I recognized them for their hood and red stripes. Dragoons have always had demonic looking armor. The only thing that made them iconic was somewhat their colors but only because they didn't have much room and bits to make the armor like they can now.

and all this about looking uniform, you still look "uniform". Only thing we would be changing is the color. Why does this piss people off so much just to have a little customization.

It's not customization. Having unique stats from one another is customization, simply seeing 10 Purple Black Mages, 10 white Black Mages and 10 Blue Black Mages isn't customization, especially since it can't be customization if even ONE other person looks like you, because that's not what customization is about. Customization is about looking and being different from one another.

Currently in FFXIV there's a set of armor that mimics the iconic Black Mage armor, which you can already dye different colors. What makes something iconic is not only the style but the color. Cowls are also heavily circulated and used by NPCs, isn't that the "hood" of the white mage? Dragoon never wore demonic armor, they wore armor that vaguely resembled a dragon, hence "Dragoon", also known as Dragon Knight. Dark Knight used demonic armor.

The color choices wasn't due to palatte limitations because the Playstation and Playstation 2 weren't at all limited in colors, it's because that's exactly how they wanted to depict the jobs of Final Fantasy. So if you want customization, don't wear the JSE, wear the armor that already exists that you can dye and attach materia to that already mimics 2 of the job's iconic outfits.

Also I don't see anyone pissed off besides the ones who want to turn their JSE to any color, there's nothing wrong with that, yet it seems there's a problem if they choose to make ONE SET OF ARMOR not being able to be dyed. Out of all of the sets that exists and will exist, why is it such a problem that one armor can't be dyed? Even generic MMOs have armor sets that are exempt from dying.
