What does it matter though? If a players wants to afk he will and nobody will notice even if he is in the arena.
It just should get more options, especially if its unsync. You guys are defending the current system because the advantages may outweigh the disadvantages, but it's not like as if this takes tons of resources to develop, it just could be better as it is atm. More options =/ bad
This is like on the same level as the titan hard mode problem, where you couldn't solo it because the goal instantly killed you even in unsync, but in extreme mode you would survive it and just take damage, so they fixed hardmode in order to be clearable by solo lvl70 chars just as extreme.
Yeah, no. I think that them implementing this system was a good a idea. Especially during 24 man raids where people tend to be a little trigger happy when someone is watching a cutscene.
Yeah, okay no.
Except you can.
It asks you “Move to sealed area? Yes or No.”
You can click “No”—but if you’re the only one who does so, you may be facing some irritated people who think you’re leeching.
Personally, I prefer the change. What I dislike is that it doesn’t work for in-progress. I feel kinda crappy standing outside of a boss arena when I get a 24-man in-progress and cannot join because I don’t get the prompt to move into the arena.

Even if you click 'No', you will be teleported inside after 30 seconds.Except you can.

I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.
It needs a "No and I"m staying out" option. It's way too easy for someone to troll an entire raid by pulling them into an already in progress fight. And this can wipe the raid on something like LotA's Atomos. Had someone do that recently in a run three times and it only stopped when his party was able to boot him before he did it again. If we had a "No" and stay out option, we could have all stayed out and gotten rid of that idiot.
And while this lets someone in a cutscene be pulled in, which is good, it does nothing to address the real issue there which was not waiting for people to get out of cutscenes. Now they just get pulled into a fight already in progress because those who would wait for them get pulled in by the person who didn't wait.
The Atomos and other split areas are a different problem all together. When it auto pulls you it forces you into A's mob. There is no way to get to B or C's mobs so you just wipe to have someone do it again.
The old 24 mans you'd have people intentionally getting locked out to get a carry.
I like it. Means I can go for a quick bathroom break after a boss is dead and still be there for the next fight.
As for trolling I don't really see it. If 21 people are in the next arena and someone pulls why are the other 3 so far back...... everyone runs at the same speed. Except ninjas who are faster..
Because it's not 21 people at the arena and only 3 missing. It's the dick in LotA that speeds ahead of everyone else and right into one of the Atomos areas, makes the barrier come up before enough people are positioned on the pads, and wipes everyone with the Iron Giant spawn. And like others have said, it's even worse when people get pulled in, because they all go to the same segment and there's no chance to quickly get on the pads and recover.I like it.
