Yeah i mean the idea that hearing the bullets used to enhance attacks(like -en spells} and put up magical barriersFrom what we heard, Gunbreaker uses magical ammo to charge its attacks. It's not to far fetched to see if more magic oriented than Warrior.
As far as a magic wielding knight is possible, I think Dark Knight and Paladin already have bits of it. Just like previsouly said, AST is the Time Mage / Gamlber / Corsair FFXIV version.
appeared similar to say a rune fencer or mystic knight, in concept to me.
Id be ok with a spellblade/mystic knight as maybe a dps, too.

I would also love to use a shapeshifter/morpher form, be it based on beasts, the void, or epser/eikon/primals. Heck, the soul stone for it could secretly be made with a magicite, that has had a few modifications
I hope they actually add in Blue Mage at some point.

Personally the jobs I'd love to see:
Tanks:
Vampire/Nightshade - With a focus on high mobility and lifestealing. Possibly using a Scythe to become the ultimate edgelords
Pirate - With a focus on plundering stats from enemies and fighting dirty. Also, buff themselves by drinking different types of alcohol (Whisky makes them hit harder, Rum makes them take less damage, Grog makes them start singing sea shanties).
Weapons something like Axe in the main hand and Main Gauche or Buckler in the off-hand.
Exorcist - A Tank-Mage. Using various magic spells to deal damage and protect themselves.
mDPS:
Viking - A melee that is a reverse RDM, using primarily melee attacks bolstered by the occasional spell cast. Uses a big ol' Hammer.
Elementalist - Melee job that uses En-elemental spells to change how their attacks work. Think something similar to GW2's Elementalist only more melee focused.
Beastmaster - I dunno, I think it'd be kind of cool if BST was melee as opposed to ranged. Given that we already have SMN as a ranged pet user.
rDPS:
Sniper - Bow Mage. Could use large sniper rifles or greatbows.
Gambler/Corsair - Put the focus on dice rolls instead of cards. Give them a Hexagun or 2.
Grenadier - Throw/shoot explosives. Ideally I'd love to see a mechanic like Saboteur from Rift where it's a combo system such like you stack up to 5 bombs onto the target and then detonate them an it would deal damage/effects based on what bombs you used (Such as a 5 stack of Shrapnel Bomb would put a massive Bleed on them, then you'd refresh it with a 1 stack Shrapnel and 4 stacks of your direct damage bomb)
Mage:
Blue Mage - Job that uses monster skills. Focus on being closer range and having oGCD's with cast times.
Shaman - Dark Magic focused job. Using Hexes and Curses to debilitate and deal damage over time to enemies. While using Rituals to empower themselves or party members. Possibly with a theme of allowing health sacrifice to gain power.
Wizard - From Bravely Second. Using spirit magic and the ability to build their own spells.
Healer:
Necromancer - Edgelord healer. Uses mastery over life and death to protect and restore their allies. While using spirits and geists to attack their foes.
Green Mage - Using protective spells and curative magics. While having a plethora of debuffs to boot.
Flintlock - Similar to the Chemist/Salve-Maker concept that people often bring up. But instead of merely throwing potions around like some sort of plebian, you shoot your allies in the face with a CANNON to make them better. Also, Flintlock was traditionally a Moogle only job so you should get taught how to shoot your friends in the face with a cannon by a Moogle.
A necromancer raising slain enemies does sound cool. Maybe have a system where you can store the essence of enemies you have killed and summon an army that has like a cap of 6-10 minions. You can level that minion to your current level with some sort of essence system. It could be a balancing issue with minion abilities, maybe have a limited pool of abilities and the rest purely cosmetic. Maybe for open world you can rez slain enemies and keep all their properties but they die after like 5min or something. Permanent raised minions can have set/shared abilities so it's balanced for instanced PVE. The weapon could be a scythe, cliche but it would look awesome.

Gimme Chemist healer, you cowards! And give it a GUN like Alchemist in FFX-2! Ignore the DoH, you can have BOTH!
I'd love to see a necro
Arithmetitian (Calculator as it was known in FFT)
Uses abbacuses. Would use Health percentages, MP and HP numerical values and distance to target to alter her dps spells for massive damage. Give it a wierd non rotation based gameplay, more like applying buffs to itself as the combat progresses and releasing well timed huge blasts of damage

I don't care how, just give me Green Mage that can buff and debuff and whack things with a mace/hammer and I'll be maining that till the day this game dies

I would like Puppeteer and Necromancer, those are my favorite classes in anything really.
