About the new items on mog station

I'm a 1.0 vet with pretty much all the exclusives (I got walled by Rivenroad and didn't get Earrings/Horn, and did not shell out for expensive statues/CD's). I HATE the idea of items being unattainable/removed. I'm all for the ability of all players to get something. Heck, I'd support the creation of a 1.0 server, that if you played through and finished it's MSQ, would allow you to transfer over a "Legacy" Character to ARR. I bought the FFX stream, and this doesn't bother me at all. Besides, I get the outfit on any alt I make, I believe the store is tied to a single character.

I'm in two minds about this issue. Giving away something that was difficult to obtain is one thing, but people complaining that people are now allowed to buy Something you already bought is a bit weird. They are just doing what you are doing right? It's not paying to skip hardship

I mentioned earlier about the White Ravens being re-released even after SE/Yoshi's promise not to make "1.0 exclusive" items available. Even as a legacy supporter that didn't do Rivenroad, I think it was a bad move.

HOWEVER. With that said, I wouldn't care all that much myself if the rewards were handed out in similar fashion to how it was obtained originally. White Ravens? Ultimate Difficulty. Dalamud Horn? Finish the ARR Hildy quests (iirc, the Horn came from a 1.0 Hildy quest). Legacy Chocobo/Gobbue? Uhhh... ok, at a lost there but maybe achievements? CD Orchestrion Rolls? Mogstation. Statue Emotes? Mogstation.

Then there's the "exclusive" Fanfest Attire. They need to upfront change it to "account access attire" and just have the codes/tokens flagged to go to the entire account, with the mention that around the next Fanfest they will likely be on the Mogstation.

It should literally be all or nothing. Everything that has been labled as "exclusive" stays, or none of it changes. In the case of the latter, "Replica" can be a satisfactory medium between the two. That's what many White Raven holders wanted when they were announced as a prize from the Rising. Since this "sacred trophy" was released, then I want the Dated Gear brought forward. Level 1 all-class glam that's dyeable. Gimme.

I'll never understand players. They whine when they dont get something, then they whine when SE gives it to them. Like jeez. I feel sorry for SE, they can never win.

Not to protect the OP but we are not a hivemind like the Gnath. We are individual people and of course this will mean that some might be fine with this and others wont. SE just have to do decisions that are mostly hitting the bigger group of people and they are fine. That does not mean that the rest cant talk about their dislike too.

Why should the items cost more exactly?

1. Yours are account wide.
2. You bought the stream. Buying the stream for just the items doesn't stop that you paid for the stream as well.

For 30$ you got:
- the stream
- one account wide minion
- 4 account wide tokens to buy the outfit of your choice for every character you have created or will create in the future

For 12$ you get:
- one outfit for one character

...so who gets the better deal here...?

And why do you want people who miss the FFXV-event right now to pay that amount of money on the mogstation later for a mount that you basically get for free? Why this wish to screw people who are taking breaks or maybe havent even heard of FFXIV yet and will only start playing in half a year over? What have they done to you? What do you get out them paying 30$ for something you just got for a handful of MGPs?

Personally, I'm okay with all digital goods eventually becoming mog station items. If someone wants an exclusive item from a Fan Fest it should probably be a limited run physical item or an out of game item commemorating the occasion.

I mean, Grand prix for FoW TCG has tokens and other cool stuff that you can't get anywhere else. I'm sure SE can do the same kind of thing for Fan Fest.

They are already doing that - you get goodie bags at the fanfests stuffed with items that you cant get anywhere else, including the bag. (You can also get some exclusive items from participating in activies during the fanfest that you'd participate in anyways)

This year we got (at least in Paris) a very nice backpack, a metal korpukur-keychain, some buttons with different characters, a bunch of autotranslate magnets, a metal drinking bottle, a patch to put on your clothes shapd like a Gobbue, a bracelet, your "visitors pass" comes with a FFXIV-themed lanyard (this year it was job icons) and I might be forgetting something here... but yeah, for attending the fanfest you do get exclusive, physical items that were specially made for the fanfest and are, as far as I can tell, not available for sale anywhere (at least not by SE, someone might sell their goodie bag on ebay or something).

I really don't see the issue. We paid for it, got to play with them for over 2 years alone and got it cheaper I believe? Don't recall the price, like 10/15 bucks or so for both the outfit and the minion plus streaming of an event. Makes sense for SE to throw them up on the Mogstation if people are still willing to pay for them, basically say "No thanks" to money.

Looking it up, it seems the tickets were $30 each.
