I did leveling with my and my wifes Twink... we got aurum vale... ok. i like it, idm. Buuuut just to be sure ill check the gear of the heal and dps... heal had lv 70 stuff, was mentor, an SCH with 390ish stuff - sweet - idk the dps i think it was a SAM or smt, but either way 60+... so nice right? right...?

We wiped 3 Times before the first boss, we could not beat the boss at all, after some wipes i asked why there was basically no healing. Turns out my lv 70 healer has no jobquests at all. No Adlo, no... whatever the spread adlo is called in english, nothing. I told him to not que for a roulet if he has no jobquests, especially on sch and if you dont even have basic stuff... >_>

He just left after it, at least he had the guts for that. With replacements it was a breeze... just annoys me, he was a Mentor, barely, but still... I might say FFS WHY CAN YOU BE MENTOR WITHOUT JOBQUESTS??


On a funny note, on my twink i met some new players, including a group of 5 french friends. They got to the point of unlocking Quarn and as they were 5, with 4 of em online they did it full premade... as i saw om my FL that they've been in for more then an hour thought they might have DC'ed or that bug when logging out inside or smt... but noooo turns out they could "not beat the dungeon and the 2nd boss was rly hard"... like whut...? how? Id see on release but dam... I wanted to join and help em but they were served for that day... i wonder when i get the chance to.

Ran Qarn normal, went pretty nicely, even thought there was a MCH that simply did not know how to play, never used Hot Shot or anything, tried to tell him, got ignored, oh well.

At the end of the run, as usual, I say "Thank you for the run", to what other players normally -as far as I noticed in a few years- say the same.

The MCH said "np".

The only reason I can think of why you wouldn't be able to beat the 2nd boss if they didn't kill the soulstone. The fight would take AGES and the healer likely ran out of mp.
But it's kinda cute reading that.

So...got a Party In Progress on a Frontline roulette, which--yay. Short match. Then I realized I was hearing the party abandon sound a lot. Like...maybe people were leaving because they thought their Alliance was doing poorly enough thay a win was impossible? Is this going to be a thing? I mean I'm just in it for the Marks and maybe there was just some mass DC's but I'd never really seen that before. Usually when people leave its at spawn when they realize this was not the frontline they were looking for. *shrug*

Also Regalia in frontlines is Bae. <3

Well... SCH, with i390 gear, but almost no heals and he hasn't any jobquests done? I think you were a victim of a SMN main who uses SCH to get faster queues.

...Wait... Scholar gets Adloquium in the unlock quest. It's literally impossible to be a Scholar without Adloquium. Did they... remove it from the hotbar or something? And forget it exists?

I’m finally free from school for 3 months, so I’ve been catching up on some Mentor Roulettes. Get an in-prog Dun Scaith (3mins in), and my alliance is only 4 people. They hadn’t even pulled Deathgaze Hollow yet. Asked what happened, and they said that 4 people just instantly dropped. Anyways, I like Dun Scaith, so I was pretty content with my Mentor Roulette’s choice.

Even more so when Dun Scaith turned out to be just like the early days of Dun Scaith in HW.

We almost hit enrage on Deathgaze Hollow—the hard enrage where the floor panels all light up. We killed him as they were flashing, so I got a really good laugh out of that (and 5/8 of my party getting blown off during the Aero/Blizzard mechanic—I used Surecast to avoid dying to it because the ice spawned at the other end of the arena, and thankfully it worked lol). Someone pulled while my alliance was still waiting for a second healer, so I solo’d the entire boss fight. Not really a problem until I have to cast Raise 8 times, but at least the BRD was playing Refresh for me (least they could do, since I raised them the most lol).

Anyways, I did a lot of raising in that party. Lots of raising. No one new in my alliance, btw. We ended up with 2 BRDs, and, of course, neither were in range of heals. I would Rescue them into range, and they would run back out to the other side of the arena. Alright. At that point, if you die to something, it’s your own fault. I won’t chase you down. Especially during Deathgaze where I’m the only healer in the alliance at that moment.

And, of course, I walk away with only 2 comms.
Sounds about right.


EDIT: WOW. A Mentor Roulette to bypass the near hard-enrage for Deathgaze Hollow in Patch 4.57.

I don’t even know what happened. But something happened. Because the tank was shouting mechanics in the chat the minute I zoned in. I’m guessing that people weren’t killing the Sable Price...or the adds, because we almost hit Nidhogg’s ultimate with one of them still alive. And I actually had to Cure II Estinien.

That takes the cake for tonight, I think.
