The #1 thing the worlds have in common is their geography. There should be zones that have different climates and different flora and fauna but are, for all intents and purposes, the same environment as one from Eorzea, just named differently. Imagine if Earth split into 13 copies 200,000 years ago. Place names, histories, and country borders would differ but the continents would largely be the same. For example, the country we know as the USA, might be 15 different countries in one world (imagine if the borders dividing the US were drawn differently), and in that same world, what we call Europe, which is comprised of dozens of countries could just be 1 nation with many states but they all speak the same language etc.

Based on that, everything that we are and have become (Warrior of Light) is meaningless in the First since, based on the trailer, our blessing of light is useless. Are we back to being nameless adventurers? Also, does this mean we are “done” with the current world with the exception of the empire? If that is the case, I am both worried and excited about starting from square one lol.[/QUOTE]

The blessing of Light is not useless on the Source, however on the First with Light threatening to fully take over obviously fighting light with light will not work judging from the trailer. In order to bring the dark back u need to fight the light with it thus warrior of darkness. And i doubt we are done with the Source. Zenos,Elidibus,Solus and the emperor are still alive, primals are still an issue~ The only square one we are starting at is that we will probably not be known of who we are on the First. In a way you may be right we are nameless adventurers but im curious how the people of the First will react if they realise we are a warrior of light xD

The First has a prophecy about a warrior that will bring back the night, which IMO was likely seeded by E'nigma Tia to make things easier for us, but whatever. If our arrival in Lakeland is anything like the trailer(erasing a kuribu and splitting the sky), or even just emerging from the sealed Tower(which just spontaneously appeared one day), we begin the expansion as far more than just adventurers.

I suspect this won't happen until midway through the MSQ. The part of the HW trailer where Nidhogg and his horde assaulted Ishgard didn't even happen until like 3.2.

It seems a little different for ShB, if only because the fight with ElidiZenos was in 4.5 and we know the starstorm in Rak'tika happens shortly before we arrive there.

You're assuming the scene in the trailer where we fight ElidiZenos is the 4.5 conclusion to Stormblood. In my opinion, I believe that the scene in the trailer has yet to occur. The battle at Ghimlyt Dark has yet to conclude, and Black Rose has yet to be unleashed. If you watch the trailer again, you'll see pretty much EVERYONE is dead, both Allies and Imperials alike.

As the camera pans, we see all the allied flags burning, before the camera pans and stops momentarily on a burning Garlean flag. The implication here is that some time has passed since we were defeated by him, and we return to the battlefield amidst the devestation of the Black Rose, which killed both sides. We challenge ElidiZenos one last time and he finally falls (in 4.5 he doesn't fall, he defeats the WoL and nearly killed him). In the trailer, we see he collapses, and we walk away victorious.

The bottom panel where we defeat Elidizenos has yet to occur in 4.5. This is, of course, unless the trailer is inaccurate (HW trailer showed a bunch of Dragoons fighting the Horde which we never saw in MSQ, and it also showed a fleet of Hraesvelgars invading, which was probably a stand-in for generic dragons)

I don't think we'd meet allagans but I do wonder about tomesotnes.

We're on another world. Will we collect something other than allagan tomestones for our main gear currency? Will Rowena and company find a way to the First? Or will we finally get something other than her people setting up shop in a new location for our tome gear and Gerolt for our artifacts?

I think this trailer is just the trailer version of our 4.56 fight. Just like the spar with Lyse on the palm of rhalgr doesn't neccisarily match up.

In the in game fight we defeat him, but he gets back up because ascian. He even has the missing eye thing because of Lyse hitting him. It lines up pretty well IMO. The trailer just cuts off before Zenos gets back up.

I was under the impression we trigger some calamity on the source by felling too many Ascians. Or perhaps, it's the other way around. With the Scions gone, the Ascians are free to envelop the source in death and chaos, while on the first, it's enveloped in light because there are no Ascians (since WoDs killed them all)
