It's weird, I don't even want a house that bad. Just the fact that me and my friend have nearly 100 million gil between us, and we can't even buy a SMALL house. I'm earning gil with nothing to sink it into. It seems like housing is supposed to be one of the end game gil sinks, but they make it nearly impossible to get one. I'm told to go to a dead server just to own a house. Why not have the number of wards on a server reflect the population count. Why does the most empty and most populated server have the exact same number of houses available. Why can't our money be used to upgrade servers to double the number or wards available. They can create new zones and content to add to the game on the regular, but they can't copy paste more housing wards? Now we all pay them monthly for this game, but only grandfathered players or lucky new players get to own a house. And after seeing how many houses became available after 4.57, just knowing that the last 4 months I've been looking for a house, that there's been this many sitting vacant and unused since BEFORE OCTOBER 2018 is especially frustrating.
The terrible placard camping system is just icing on the cake. Not only are there not enough houses available, but to try and get one I have to devote 24 hours to clicking the same 4 buttons over and over. Not only did lots of empty houses finally enter the market, but I also managed to lose the clicking war every time. Not while afk, while actively clicking as fast as possible.
So now I feel bad because my friend feels bad. All she wants in this game is a house and she can't get one, and I can't get one for her to decorate and let her play with either. And she has too many friends on server to leave.
I doubt my friend will quit over it, but I get upset more easily and this system is really making me question the design decisions put into this game. Making one of the fun activities in the game that some players really want to do a restricted activity, what for?
