I play my characters main class in MSQ.
Since that's what I've identified my character as.
It just feels... Wrong, to not be pulling out my axe when poop hits the fan.
Also, I'm the Warrior of Light not the Dark Knight of Darkness![]()

Oh my gosh so much this.
I almost always go through story stuff on Machinist, and there are sooooo many cutscenes I feel desperately need a "JUST SHOOT HIM" prompt.
Merlwyb gets to do it, why can't I? ,_,
Do it, SE! Please, make your devs play Mass Effect 2 so they can experience the infinite joy of Renegade Interrupts.

I usually pick what looks good atm
Normally tanks
It's better to be a master of one job than mediocre at all the jobs. I started the game as a lancer, so I will keep playing dragoon.
Sometimes I feel unfortunate that, without knowing it at the time I joined, I started with the "worst DPS" in the game. But then I remind myself that any class can be terrible if played incorrectly. So I made it my goal to be a good dragoon....or at the very minimum, one that doesn't tank the floor. A dead DPS does no DPS.
I always play White Mage in story quests and at least in everything that has important cutscenes. Oftentimes I even dress appropiately, like wearing warm clothes while doing the MSQ in Coerthas. For me it would feel weird if my character suddenly was something other than a White Mage.
I also play the other healers and also tanks (and sometimes DPS too), but my character just is a White Mage. It sometimes looks weird in cutscenes to threaten someone with a healing staff, but then again I also just pretend that my character is part of a Warriors of Light group consisting of mine and my boyfriend's characters, so he actually does the threatening. ;D (And we're not actually roleplayers, we just think things like "our characters are like this or like that", but we don't stand around and type things in chat with them)
Eh. I wish I could be a bit meaner. I don't really picture naga as a very cheery guy. Right now its headcannon that hes just acting nice and then cursing everyone internally. Though I've never been one for silly outfits on male charactors so thats never been a problem.
Started as a healer main and then realized how much I like everything about DRK. Sort of like he just wanted to help people, then realized its useless.

As a WHM main, yeah, I feel perpetually out of place (single tear remembering Haurchefant)
Whenever it comes to story, I always try to make my character look serious at the very least. But role-wise I'm all over the place so it's not really a moodkiller in my case.
That said though, I'm totally going through Shadowbringers as a DRK because it's my main.
If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.
They fix it for one cutscene that i remember. the cutscene after the first fight with Zenos was little diffrent if u where a healer in that fight
I have always been on a healer class in the msq, First WHM and then Ast from beginning of Heavensward to the end of Stormblood

The seas continue to rise while the lesser moon continues to fall, and ilm by ilm, the world becomes ever more unlike itself, without the illumination of knowledge, we but vainly flail as specters in the dark.
I'm playing Monk since 2.3 and that won't change with Shadowbringers.![]()
