Even if, we have multiple claims of existing/rise in Lala hate or examples of it happening and people agreeing that its been an issue, let alone this quote being in this very same thread relating to it's title:
At this point it doesn't even matter if the original point is valid or not since it's showing a disgusting underbelly in the community.
We play games (especially an mmo) to make our own character that we enjoy, escape reality and to have fun. I wouldn't want something like this on people playing any of the other races either as it's not acceptable.

First off, I'm sorry you experienced that. People can be jerks. Secondly, I think part of the problem is people coming from other MMO's as someone else pointed out, especially world of warcraft. I just came back from 10 months of wow and the community is more toxic than it has ever been. The problem is Battle for Azeroth turned out to be one massive turd. Its so bad people are jumping ship and FFXIV is, in my opinion, the next best MMO to go over to. So all those toxic people are now over here. Just give it some time. The wow players don't have the patience needed to sit through a storyline like FFXIV, especially with much of the game locked behind main story quests. They will soon get bored and take off from here as well. In the meantime, if those people did indeed mention kicking you for the way your lala sounds I would totally suggest reporting them. That is an obvious abuse of the kick system.
Random jerks happen. I find they are pretty rare.
Let me guess, was it this voice?

Actually, I have seen absurd amounts of real hate towards Lalafell since ARR, so I don't think we can blame WoW refugees for this one. We're getting a higher influx of people between new players joining due to see the game or just refugees from other MMO's like Wildstar and WoW. It's like a total hit and miss of we get more great people to play with but also see more bad apples at the same time because of it.
There was also more toxicity than I had ever seen, in the latency mess of Titan HM back then when everyone was doing it for relic. Only time in this game I was told to uninstall and kill myself, lol. When the feast came out, it came pretty close though.

I understand the skepticism so here is the whole story.
The dungeon starts and the healer is dcing at the start so I /surprise her while she's pokeballed. When she came back I /surprised her again and a dps I won't name told me that was a good way to get blocked. So whatever I start pulling and stuff and then in the middle of the mob fights the same dps tells me to "fucking stop" in which I then realize that he's talking about the squeaking my character does when using heavy swing and I try to explain to him that it can't be helped.
Long story short in the middle of one of the pulls after a period of nobody saying anything I got kicked.
Yeah, some people get really mad over squeaky voices for some reason. I had a happy emote on my miqote I used to spam a little since it would usually make people laugh, but one time my friend told me that, while people were silent in say chat, they were spewing vitriol about me in their linkshell. Just because my cat sounded like a cat with the /happy emote.
If they just simply asked me to stop, I would have *shrugs*
I'm so sorry OP, I hope that player get's what's coming to them.
"You have a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you!"
I had some crazy just walk up and slap my lala. Never met them. They got reported and suspended. People have a lot of lala hate for no reason. It is sad.
