Can we have a server merger after fee take place ?

I am happy to hear this. In light of this announcement, it would be nice if certain data could be made available for each destination world. Things like number of players from each geographical location in the real world. This would allow people from the EU/UK to make a better informed decision. Of course I want to play where there will be more people who play at the same time of day that I do. There are probably other bits of information that would be beneficial as well, but I can't think of any at the moment. If anyone else has any suggestions, please post them.

But, on a serious note, most RPers realize that non-RPers can be annoyed by large amounts of RP spam, so we try to keep from being obnoxious. I know that a lot of people in this community don't like the idea of officially designated servers, but if there was a RP server, that would allow those who really are adverse to it from choosing a server where a RP community will be playing.

I was really really REALLY happy to hear this:

Thanks for the information. I'm glad to hear that you're allowing players to choose which server to transfer to, instead of force merging multiple servers into 1 with no choice.

Please do *not* label or designate the remaining active Servers as ONLY 1 Language or not. That leads to SEGREGATION.

I understand you want to help EU players gather together, but if you end up with a Lodestone Post on the Final Fantasy Main Page that labels, for example:

Stuff etc etc etc

I don't see this as an issue, they have been hinting for a while they want to make language specific servers.

I am all for it, It would be awesome if EU had their own server, at least I could do dungeon runs at a decent time and not at 4 in the morning.

The whole region-specific thing is a can of worms that needs to be discussed after this merge. When I move servers, I'd like to move to a global server for sure, and right now every server is considered a global server. This was a giant freakin debate a month or two ago when the intention for regional servers was announced. I think we need to take a wait and see approach for what Yoshida's planning on doing with those of us who are in these orphaned servers.

He is not talking about forcing anyone to go anywhere. I understand that they will present us with information so that we might make an informed decision as to which server we would like to transfer to.

I am an American who is now living in the U.K. I don't support them forcing us to play on EU only servers or forcing anyone else to play on a server that they don't want to be on either. What I do support is providing us with information so that I can find other players from the E.U. so that I might have other people to play with when I'm on.

I'm disabled and medically retired. My activities are limited and therefore I spend much of my time playing. This being the case, I find it really bothersome when there are no players on when I'm playing. Due to the fact that there are fewer E.U. players than from Japan or North America, I find this to be the case quite frequently. So, if I could choose a server that had a large community of E.U. players, I would be very grateful. I don't want it to be all E.U. either, so don't get me wrong.

I guess you have to live/play when there are no other players to play with in order to appreciate the intentions of SE.

I'm all for server mergers, would like to add that I'm from the UK and would prefer servers to stay somewhat mixed, its nice having people from all over the world, makes for interesting conversation and those odd hours when your on a day off or just up late its nice to have a busy server still.

I will quit if they make Selbina a regional server Japanese or NA.

New servers should be made for racists where they can choose to go and be with their own kind. Those of us on existing servers should not be forced into a situation where we are suddenly 2nd class citizens (NA on Japanese servers, Japanese on NA servers, etc.).

No one is being a racist. All we want is a majority of players that speaks the same languages.
