Suggestion: rewards for healers

This. I'd rather see healer mounts instead. As it stands, I can walk away with multiple commendations from content for barely doing any healing outside of oGCDs... meanwhile, on a DPS I'm AOEing my little heart out, Refreshing/Tacticianing, Palisading, Nature's Minne-ing, singing that Foe's, and generally doing for more work and walk away with none lol.

So glad you didn't say doing awesome DPS... as a Tank/Healer player most of the comms I give out are for being on time with ANYTHING not related to your primary role.

What healer got rezzed within 5s by a summoner w/o being told... comm consideration +
Got rezzed then mana-shifted me... comm consideration +
What pre-blocked that esuna-able debuff with Warden's... comm consideration +

Not a lot of melee's get comms... so rare to see them actually use their support abilities, what 2 TP users AoEing... neither use Goad... wtf.

If I see Mana Shift being used, it's like automatic commendation for me lol. Finding casters that actively Mana Shift is like hunting for unicorns. My standards for other DPS (in dungeon settings) are literally: did they press AOE buttons? If yes, comm. If no, well that's an every day thing so... the unicorn hunt continues.

I get Mana Shifted all the time personally...

Like, I'll be at 90% mana with both my MP CD's available and *Poof* Mana Shift. It's like "Guys really, I got this. I got like way more MP management I need for this thing"

Though for commendations, I personally like to give them to sprouts/first timers in the content so they don't get discouraged if they mess up on some mechanics :3

On Topic:

If Healers get into dire straits because of the release of GNB and the lack of a new Healer job, then sure, go give them some special rewards, like maybe their own versions of the Tank "Grind 300 Duties" mounts.

I don't expect this to be the case though, Healing is a reasonably popular role. But if it happens, then sure go ahead.

Tying things behind commendations for specific roles would be a bad thing though...

The tank ones are not that extreme.

Should make it 300 or 500. As a tank main I always wondered why healers didnt get mounts outside of the WHM free mount.

Even when they ran the numbers the healer percentage of the population was only 23% which was only 2 percent higher than tanks.

It could be 300 runs of leveling roulettes, 50/60/70 roulettes, level 71+ dungeons, level 80 raids and level 80 extreme trials. Just like the latest tank mounts.

Shadowbringers is probably the best time to implement healer incentives because of the job imbalance. Gunbreaker will also get its own versions of the previous two tank achievements so it's not like tanks won't have reasons to keep tanking.

I'm sure of there's a huge disparity in healers vs other players they will add in rewards. Until there is, theres no reason to give healers a mount. It's more of an incentive to play a class instead of a reward for playing said class.

I don't normally voice my thoughts on these sorts of threads, but for once I'm 100% for it.

Tanks have had mount/achievement incentives since the very start.
Now that Shadowbringer isn't bringing a new healer class, I have no doubt that when it comes to scarcity, healers might take the lead.

As such, it seems only fair (if not needed) that healers would get the same mount/achievement incentives for this next expansion.

Roulettes already have bonuses if a role is wanted, so i don't think that needs anything added.

The adventurer in need rewards could stand to be boosted for all roles. The XP and gil rewards are rather insignificant and players who care about optimizing their gear with materia are likely to have more cracked clusters than they need. I only use the bonus as a hint for whether I should queue as healer or DPS.

Definitely Healer mounts.

Tanks haven't seen new mounts every expansion so far, it seems to skip them, which means they're not due new mounts this time around (other than Gunbreaker)
So this could open up room to implement Healer mounts, in the same way via duty achievements.

Scholar would definitely be the Faerie wings.
Maybe White Mage would be white angel wings and Astrologian... bat wings? If you wanted to keep some kind of theme to it.
