And? You have lala equivalent to gnomes and you will have dwarf with a similar appearance to lala.Doesn't Male Au Ra already fit that? They are tall with athletic bodies with very manly faces that protect their tribe and are very agile because of all the hunting they do. Then again everyone is agile in this game. A Lalafell can go stand off against Roes. Not to mention that Roes can be a dragoon with dragoon jumps and flips.
But I could give you the same narrative don't you have slim and small size males in game like miqo-te.
I wouldn't say a Miqote is at all similar to a Viera. Male miqotes are very feral with no elegance or grace to them. You ever see their run? It is very feral. Their bodies are quite toned as well. I wouldn't really call them slim. Nothing about how Vieras that have been depicted in the games make them out to be savagely brutish in their demeanor. Vieras also seem to go for that super model look especially from the trailer released for their race.
While having a smaller male would be interesting, i think i remember something about males being slightly larger, more aggressive and animalistic than females. This can be seen in the official concepts that they did a few years ago where the males has broader shoulders and more animalistic big bunny feet and hands. It could also be just the way they shaded the art, but it also looked like they had a short layer of fur on them, near the shoulders.
For the average human, yes. But it's actually possible even in reality.
I feel like I've overposted this article lately when discussing theoretical Viera development, but there's an actual genetic condition where a developing baby doesn't respond properly to a particular hormone, and are born looking female - but they're actually male and it only kicks in at puberty. It's super rare in the general human population, but has become reasonably common in one particular area.
Sound familiar?
So interesting thanks in advance for the article. For the average human, yes. But it's actually possible even in reality.

I guess is ok we share different art concept for Male Viera never saw them delicate much less teenager faces as Umeikoai describes due to their hunters and protector forest way of life.

Even past puberty plenty of males still look more like their mothers than the ideal hypermasculine male. Sure they may have a little bit wider shoulders or neck but just because they hit puberty doesn't mean instantly they look like He-Man now. It's nothing new to Japan either. Nor is it extremely foreign to Korea. Just look at their Kpop idols. Most of the males in ff14 have pretty wide shoulders aside from Lalafells. Roes and Elezens are the extremely wide. Even a male miqote has pretty wide shoulders compared to a good portion of real males. But in all honesty the body proportions of having a masculine male viera and a more feminine one can be easily addressed in the game by having 2 clans. In an efficient workflow they'd have a base model and then just scale the bones without affecting any animations or rigging. This would create vastly different silhouettes with very little effort. The clothes would already be rigged on one of them and doing a simple bone scale would make the outfit fit smoothly anyways. Most standard MMOs have this. Even Dark Souls has this. It doesn't need to be ingame either because any industry standard 3d program can do it. If you ever made a character for any game then you'd know how easy it is just scale down bones on an already rigged model. Even the height slider in this game is nothing but a simple scale adjustment. For the average human, yes. But it's actually possible even in reality.

Saying "we want shotas or lolis" is indeed not a good look, so.Tbh those are your prejudices. While I said that I merely thought of the description of a shota, being young small boys. And while not everyone got perverted minds, lollis are wanted as much. So we dont need to act like "omg everyone is just a pedo".
We have lalafell after all, which might not be kids but resemble them in a way.
