Viera males should be smaller like Au Ra females

If we get them, I'll probably be happy either way. For my own preference, I kinda want them to have similar proportions to the elezen, only without the long neck.

This! This is exactly what I'm looking for. I honestly wish that Elezen males had better facial options (I really want Aymeric's face as an option, that man is beautiful) and I wish they didn't have yaoi-hands.meme as their base proportions. Some people can pull it off with the right clothing, though.

Personally I would like the see the Hyur Highlander male in terms of body frame for a build then make it shorter than females. Or you could use the Hyur Midlander but I envision them to be shorrter and brawnier making it a contrast to the Tall Slender females.

Now I would prefer they got the same treatment as the catboys, similar build to their female counterpart just male, and if they'd been highlander or elezen style I'd have fantasiad. But honestly the thing that most interested me about the concept was finally getting to see them, and I really wouldn't have minded if we'd gotten small ones.

I'd be disappointed if they passed up the opportunity to make the males smaller than the females, but less disappointed than what I'm feeling right now.
The only way this could really go wrong with me is if they just like put a bunny head on hrothgar/roe.

Ideal situation would be 2 clans, one smol, one Fran-sized.

Barring that, I have a preference but would be far less disappointed in the design choice (see: au ra) vs not having males at all.

Per Wandering Dramaturge text, there is no sexual dimorphism in Viera. Men and women can't be differentiated at all until adulthood.

"Until adulthood" is the key phrase there. Viera children aren't clearly gendered, but adults are. They have to be, or how do they go from indistinguishable to following their strict gender roles?

Well we got already a statement from Yoshida why we cannot play as young teenagers, thats why we cannot go on an adventure as kid miqote, hyur or elezen. The most we would get are young adults at most.

And I do think it has a bad effect on the feedback on the dev team. Everyone wants different builds small, tall, shota, bara, masculine, feminine. And I do think the preferences everyone got is not male Viera, but a race that appeals to them, attracts them.
Dont get me wrong, I have preferences too but I'm fine staying Miqote and all I want is to see male Viera in first place. If this were the next FF16 being an Ivalice game introducting male Viera, we would not have a choice how they should look like.

Well, just to be fair, it's not always about bad intentions (though mostly it is, maybe...). Some people here also tend to say that those who plays female Au Ra are pervert and creeps, which is not true.
Still, we already have race that can be considered as shota at some point (lalafels), there is no need for another one. Not to mention that Au Ra disproportions already look very weird and gross for many people, so making it a thing again but in opposite way... please, just no.
