The ULTIMATE answer to the genderlocked race argument.

I personally think think after the horrendous ways in which some players have expressed their displeasure at the gender locked races, the ultimate result would be this: Yoshi-P should just scrap Female Vierra/Male Hrothgar altogether and give us the Viangaa he trolled us with at Paris. And to make sure that both male and female look pretty much, if not exactly the same just to teach the toxic people a lesson XD

I for one love this game and while some decisions may disappoint me at times, it would never cross my mind to be rude or offensive about it to the Devs or Yoshida-san.

There are polite ways to put across your concerns and it makes me sad that things have gotten so disgusting as death threats!

For that, it would serve these players right if they simply announced that since adding two more race genders (male Vierra/Female Hrothgar) is too much of a task (both time and server resources as they said at Paris Fanfest), that they are cancelling Vierra and Hrothgar as player races altogether. Sadly I think they are too nice to do that to the rest of the community that remained civil about this.

Just my personal thoughts, delete if needed.

P.S. I would definitely play as a Viangaa!

Indeed I agree with all of these responses. While I feel the disgusting behaviour SHOULD NOT BE REWARDED with getting its own way, I too would hate for Vierra/Hrothgar to be axed entirely purely because I think they'll bring a nice diversity around the game world. I personally can't wait to see them despite not getting my preferential gender.

I guess the parent in me who was always quite strict on my daughter as far as her tantrums went is just upset to see that they are even considering giving in to such unacceptable behaviour. I pray that these extreme case are in fact a tiny minority and that the most of those unhappy with the announcement were able to communicate this in polite, grown up ways and that this is in fact what SE are currently responding to rather than the hate mail.
