No, no, no. I know for a fact that DRK, MCH, and WHM's reworks are not finished yet. So they need that time.

No, no, no. I know for a fact that DRK, MCH, and WHM's reworks are not finished yet. So they need that time.
I’d rather just wait a month and have them release the info when they are ready. We are playing a video game so it’s not like it is urgently needed information.

Releasing this information early will on give people another month to cry over what they see, and I say cry because that's what is being done when theres constructive about a point you think your making but you only said this job can raise my job should raise too.
For a testing ground to have any impact, they would have to actually listen to its feedback, parse it, and consider the impacts of its prospective changes and how best to integrate those changes in both letter and spirit. That's not likely to happen any time soon.
We'd more out of additional combat design staff who more keenly care about the feel of gameplay and have some real foresight for a change than from spending that money on among the most technologically inefficient ways to create a PTS, which is most likely the only way we'd get it.

I would at least like to know the scope of what they plan to do. Are they actually planning on any large overhauls? Are they just going to tweak things a little?

If they truly are making huge changes to the battle system, that might explain why we aren't getting a new healer class. For all we know the ones we already have may play entirely differently in 5.0.
I feel as though they could let players test these new skills for a limited time obvious becuase SBs class releases were butchered.... literally the only job that came out through the chop and block was BRD lol every other class was in the garbage XD

I remember the meltdown that was the 4.0 WHM reveal before SB dropped. Stone IV was 260 potency before being dropped 250 eventually, and while that wasn't what was triggering people it was still a noted "nerf" (not really since this was never released but it felt like one). No matter what is revealed there will always be things that the community will demand be changed, and the devs will definitely NOT implement those changes (the aforementioned WHM meltdown is proof enough. Everyone, devs and other players alike, was telling people to hold off whining until changes were live. And when 4.0 launched all that "whining" turned out to be entirely founded.). Since I know the devs won't take feedback seriously until the expansion launches, and since a PTR is as likely as a 4th healer, I'd rather they not tell us what they're doing until they feel comfortable.
I'm certain that whatever they could show us in April will change, probably even drastically, come May. There's not even a guarantee that the May version will be the final version. I want whatever they show us to be representative of the final release version, so I'd rather the devs hold off showing us things until they are ready.

Because we all know "subject to change" is complete BS. This happened before Stormblood. They showed the skills early and healers immediately brought up how bad the lily system was for WHM's and specifically why it wouldn't work.
Nothing changed.
SCH brought up how insane their new MP costs were despite the fact that Aetherflow (Their MP regenerator) was being nerfed.
Nothing changed
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
I would rather it happen when everything is 100% because there are way to many people on edge about dancer atm to be shown an unfinished healer overhaul etcClearly the design choices of 5.0 new jobs has upset the community so maybe it would be helpful we understood the reason why? Would moving the details of what is to come up a month really make that big of a difference? I'm sure most of changes are in and should be ready for show and tell, and you can always add the wonderful "Subject to change" disclaimer to tweaking.
