Who is here is excited for ShB!?? (forget all the whining about races)

not excited why should i ? we live in 2019 and still dumb decisions made, ff14 team with stubborn heads and genderlock system
gunblade is not what i expect for as a tank
ok dancer as dps is fine but with a very long whip weapon mid range job class not bard or machinist like
and geomancer as healer
other things like new area raid or boss is common in all new mmo games you get them in every game, so whats special in this new expansion for us? pls dont come with the new announced genderlock races cause its realy hilarious and not acceptable from a BİG COMPANY LİKE SE ( SHAME )

Nothing of it sounds exciting to me.

1. raid boss is made my my most hated man in SE.
2. alliance raid is a tie in with a game I couldn't care less about
3. storyline sounds stupid.
4. I hate garlemald
5. gross optics in regard to the races being gender locked
6. no healer
7. why even bother making gunbreaker a tank when it should be a dps, if they aren't doing the tank/healer combo??
8. the worlds look pretty bad and ugly to me. also no graphical improvements?

Also excited about the new races! I mean I won't play the big cat men( Hrothgar?) But I will still enjoy watching them just as I do with Lalas!

Gripe about races on another thread please. Having a few genderlocked races adds a new dimension to the game that it previously lacked and I for one think its cool. But enough about that... I said to leave it at the door, and thats the last I'll say about it.


With that out of the way... Im still discovering little facets others have mentioned. Like the crystal hand guy in the trailer is G'raha Tia.. Ive been wondering who that was.... didnt dawn on me til I read a reddit post about him.

Well we (our world) is the source and once upon a time it was broken into several( 12-13?) duplicate shards some have since been destroyed by the ascians. That's the skinny of it.

Now I wish I had seen the fan fest stuff it feel like I may be missing something!

The new areas look great! I'm excited for Titania for sure.

Everything else was deflating, especially THOSE things. And alternate dimension stuff... yikes!
More than anything, this was my hope to hear about the new battle system without TP and what my wonderful Spire will do now (besides it's expanded effect) so womp womp.

While I feel like this is the first expansion that I'm completely not excited for, I do support those who are looking forward to it! I think as they release more information in the coming weeks or months, I might be able to find some of that lost hype! Otherwise it feels the same as any other patch to me. "New places, different enemies, same lack luster story, AWESOME NEW MUSIC THO."

I was upset about not getting bunboys for a day but I'm over it now. At the end of the day, it's a minor setback in comparison to everything else we're getting.

Gunbreaker is something I've been dreaming of since I first saw Gaius, and then Nero and Regula made me want it even more. Even though I know it's sadly not quiiiiiite the same kind of gunblade, I fully expect we'll at least see some familiar moves. And I love magitek stuff in general. And I also appreciate the excuse to finally try a tank job! I never liked the themes and aesthetics of the existing ones.

And Dancer looks incredibly stylish so it will make for a perfect main for my Au Ra alt. I was surprised to find out it's a ranged DPS, but 1 minute later, I was fully on board with this: #1 - we get a third support to round out the least populated role, and #2 - this means the healer spot is still open for something much more appropriate in 6.0. And I also believe that in 6.0 we're guaranteed a new healer. Maaaaaybe Chemist? Since we're not going to Garlemald this time around, I'm hoping that's what they're planning for the next expansion.

The new areas look beautiful and I'm really sold on the idea of going to the First and exploring a world that seems familiar on the surface but has taken a completely different evolutionary path. I hope things having different names is just the tip of the iceberg of surprises awaiting us.

And, while some may see it as a side-show, I squee a little every time I think of Ishgard restoration! I loved restoring Bahr Lehs with the moogles and seeing the Doman Enclave develop week after week, so I'm looking forward to doing that again, and this time on a much bigger scale.

I also can't stop fangirling over not only getting a Nier crossover but it being the BIGGEST crossover I could ever hope for! I'm expecting massive bosses and ridiculously stylish YoRHa glamours.

(And I really really hope they expand the glamour dresser in time for that >.<)

Last but not least, even though we're only getting one half of Viera, the half we're getting is still pretty cute. I'm fine with it... for now! I hope SE will listen to feedback and eventually introduce the other half. It will feel incomplete until then, but... some bunny is still better than no bunny. It does not overshadow the rest of Shadowbringers for me. I still believe I'll be getting my money's worth.

As for the Hr-

I believe that covers everything, there's nothing else to say! I cast /doubt on some decisions but everything else has me /charmed. I'm hyped for Shadowbringers and June can't come soon enough!
