Hothgar was an exciting reveal!

I'm debating if i should fantasia to Hrothgar and give the race a try but I need to see what face options they have. As for their body they mostly did use Roegadyn as the base but Hrothgars look smaller. Still brutish but smaller and with a more tapered waist. I do hope they aren't as tall as other tall races but close Highlanders as I don't really care for playing tall races. I often put my characters to min height.

Also debating if I should play as Viera as it was the race i was most looking forward to play but they are only female and all my glam and store purchases are for male.

i was pretty disappointed. they're genderlocked and are effectively just roegadyn with a new head slapped on and a miqote tail. the racial diversity in xiv is as bad as the alliance in warcraft where they have almost 5-6 kinds of humans. regular humans, fat british humans, short humans, short black humans, tiny humans, lycanthropic humans.

now compare to that to the races of the horde: green orcs, brown orcs, zombie humans, goblins, elves (who strongly resemble humans), blue crack addict elves, hunchbacked trolls, tall african trolls, minotaurs, and moose minotaurs.

aura would've been a good opportunity to have dragon people, but, no. just humans that vaguely resemble dragons.

My main female Charr necro in GW2 was a snow leopard. (I also had a black panther, a lion (yes female there were some nice mane like options), a lioness, and a cheetah.) For a snow leopard Hrothgar I'd probably go with BLM - since ice and all

Okay... now use that same logic but with Veira, slap the bunny ears on a hyur and voila you have your Male bunny.

Dont get my wrong, I do sympathise with the folks that wanted Male bunny, (I do think the reception is very childish though) but this is a thread about appreciating Hrothgar.. so dont bring that crap in here.

I won't be playing one, but I was actually really excited to hear about this race being added. I haven't been keeping up with all the rumors and I had no idea. I'm excited to see what people can come up with
