Headgear won't show on Viera and Hrothgar save a few exceptions

I basically never have my headgear displayed anyway. I hate when it hides all my hair under it or I have to go choose another style I don’t like as much. Also (my actual main is a miqote) I hate hate hate when headgear hides my ears since the ears are one of the main things that make the race for me. For me, no footwear would mess me up way more. Not planning on playing either of the races though, but it’s a shame there are even more limitations on them in addition to gender lock.

Honestly give them time and they'll eventually work out how to make headgear show up in full for these races. Though the point does stand that with all these beastial things they're going to be letting us mess around with for both races, it seems silly to then throw on a helmet that will make you look like every other race. Just means a little glamour reworking will be in order (one of my current ones will work fine for example, but my healers will need an update.)

As someone who plays...Everything.
Thematically a number of classes just look wrong without certain head coverings.
Like, I will never play NIN without some kind of face covering for longer than it takes me to glamour a new headslot after getting it, and I flat out won't play Viera if I can't at least get my AF3 on them.
I also refuse to live in a world where Bards, Red Mages, and Black Mages don't wear pimpin' hats at all times. At least not *My* Bard, Red Mage, and or Black Mage.

I was sad when I found out I couldn't make a male Viera. Then I was like... you know what, a white fur Hrothgar with a moogle helm would be cool as a dancer. Now I can't even do that. I come to terms with not getting something that should have been added only to find out the consolation race isn't even fully completed.

I mean, I kinda get it with veira? With the ears I can see headwear being difficult/uncomfortable. I don't even get how -I- put on some helmets. Some it shouldn't even be physically possible for me to wear. With the chaos set theres no god damn excuse either. the npc that wears it is also an au ra!

But anyway, I don't get it for hrothgar though. arn't they just really big nordlike hyurians? at least thats what google shows when I look them up.

You're a 1 billion dollar company running a franchise that has been a staple in its genre for over thirty years. How in the everloving hells do you guys not know how scope works???
If you can't finish a feature of a product, or implement it in a way that matches the quality of the other features of the product, DON'T PROMISE OR INCLUDE THE BAD/UNFINISHED FEATURE.

It's a bad look sure, but not nearly as bad as whatever is happening right now.

No helmets on Hrothgar seems fine to me. Helmets look terrible on Tauren/Worgen and Charr 95% of time. In WoW, the only helmet pieces worth showing on your Tauren/Worgen were hoods, or the Charr cultural helmets. Besides, one of the primary appeals of a beast race is seeing your beastial face.

Not too sure why Viera can't wear helms though; why not just allow the places to toggle whether or not their ears pop through the helmet?

I mean if you put on a helmet and it covered the bunny ears you would look just like a Hyur and then what would even be the point...

Or... You know they could have made the ears just clip through like they did with the Au ra.

I mean, one of the main points that they had against Viera was redesigning all footgear, and now it seems they have regular feet and the only high heels are their RS gear, and now they're having trouble reshaping head gear? now, Hrothgar I understand, but Viera as well?

Especially see no problems with ear holes for stuff like Ninja hoods (Already exist in TA/2), Red Mage's Hat (same), or circlets (although those may be covered by the headgear they can actually use)...or glasses...

Heavens, I even made a very crappy Male Viera Red Mage way back before Stormblood and had ear hole for the hat (hope Spoiler tag works)
