And I'm planning on switching to Viera too. Been Miqo'te ever since I began FFXIV so it'll be a rough switch. Still kinda debating! I like recreating characters from stories I've written, and I have one specifically in mind for Viera. It'll depend on how well I can make that character look with that race.

What I'm really looking forward to is Ronso dancers. Let's just think about that for a moment.

Well that's the thing. When Ronso were hinted at, I immediately hoped I could make a female one as she would fit another particular story character of mine perfectly. Especially if I could give her dreadlocks. Oh, one can dream.

However, when it was revealed there weren't any female Ronso, I didn't get angry. When they revealed Dancer was DPS, I also didn't get angry. I don't look at this game (or any other) as one I specifically own. I am not a developer. I didn't create it. Sure, I can give suggestions and voice my opinion, but at the end of the day - we the consumers are not privy to what the developers have in mind. This is their game, their story. All we can do is voice our concerns and - if it's in their power - hope they can acknowledge said concerns.

I do hope female Ronso (and sure why not, male Viera) eventually come around. It could potentially happen. We don't know the future. However, I'm not going to blast Squeenix, Yoshi-P, Shadowbringers, or FFXIV in general for this particular decision. Hell I'm just as happy staying Miqo'te. It's both a big deal and not to me. Sounds weird but at my age I just don't really have the desire to get angry over everything that doesn't perfectly go my way. (not saying you are; just giving my personal opinion). Give me a good, fun game. Explain your decisions. Do those things, and I'm happy. So far, seems that's exactly what they're doing.

I feel like people seem to think every "negative" decision devs make is to spite them. Not at all. In a perfect world I'm positive they'd give us everything we want. Happy customers = more money after all. But this isn't a perfect world. Technical difficulties can occur. Too much manpower needed in too little time. Remember - this expansion isn't just the new races and the new class. And I do vaguely remember Yoshi himself stating it can take upwards to a year to get just one new job from the drawing board to the game. And I'm positive races can be just as if not more complicated.

So when I take all of that into account - I just can't get "angry". I have no real reason to.

Did you know what the word hypocrite means? Just wow... You talk about respecting ppls opinion, expect anyone that dosen' t like what's in the new expansion. And their just negative and aren't allowed post according to you.. Stop harassing me and other players that every right to comment here on things they disagree with...
