I've said before, I would probably spend more money overall at the shop if the individual prices were lower.

I don't know where the balance is between people who think this way, and those who buy everything regardless, but I wish they'd aim at more accessible prices.

Perhaps if items got a permanent price drop after a certain period of time? Make full profit from the "gotta have it now" people and then lower the bar later on.

I thinking what if the Veteran Rewards returned but it was a permanent discount on items purchased from the MogStation. Players would only be able to use the discount on items going to their own characters (to prevent gifting to others at a lower cost), though it could encourage players to stay subscribed for longer knowing they are getting something good from it. Of course I'm sure someone might find it silly that a new player would have to pay the original price compared to an older player who pays less, but seeing as the items are mostly cosmetic, having to wait say a year to get a discount isn't a bad deal.

I think they said a while back that there was some kind of coding issue (as with so many things in this game!) that meant they couldn't have an infinite amount of account-wide items.

Still, even if that's a genuine issue I'd like to see a compromise where an item can be sent to multiple current characters on your account, even if the system doesn't remember it for future characters.

Or, at very least, the opportunity to buy a second copy for a much-reduced price.

The idea of veteran rewards giving a discount would certainly be nice. Perhaps they could even combine that with an exemption on newly-released items.

They anyway have to create a new entry in database for each item already existing in the game they have to make available through mog station (as is it is for dyes).

For event items, they just need to create a right to the NPC Calamity Salvager. You get a mog mail that announce the right is open and that's done.

Either they don't have imagination, or they are too greedy but technically I'm sure there are solutions that are not especially heavy for ressources demanding.

Why go to some shady site and give them your credit card details for some gil when you can just buy a Cloud bike and sell it on the MB for 150m.
Sure you could do that, but the people buying the item from the market board are just gonna buy their gil from RMT since 150mil gil is probably cheaper to buy than a $25 mount.

My main problem with the cash shop is that glamour gear from it can't be stored in the armoire. I have a lot of outfits I don't wear anymore (or at least don't wear frequently) that only take up space, but I can't just get rid of them because then I'll have wasted money.

Just had a look at a few sites. The price for 150m gil ranged from $237 up to $313, at least on my server. Don't know who in their right mind would pay that but there you go. So if you decide you suddenly need 150m gil then that Mogstation mount is a lot more financially viable, plus you don't risk your card details being sold by some dodgy site.

Statistically not really. A majority of people claiming they would purchase things from online shops still will not spend money in an online cash shop of a game after the developer lowered the prices. Mentally the overwhelming majority have already decided a hard yes or no subconsciously on these purchases and the claims that its just the prices being too high are in reality an excuse to themselves for saying no.

Most cash shops get a majority of their income from players often labeled as "whales". These are people with disposable income and no inhibitions or concerns about spending it on digital goods that as a result buy frequently and often in large amounts. Very little is made from people that occasionally buy 1 item here or there and adding a few more to this category will not make up for the loss from whales and likely not even the loss on the occasional spenders if they reduce prices like people seem to enjoy asking them to do on the forum.

My only personal gripes with the cash shop here is the feeling that glamours/emotes/hairstyles/mounts/minions should all be account wide. The reason for the feeling is it seems to further encourage not having alt characters as I feel there should be a way to at least mail items to your other characters and have them share a personal cottage/house/mansion/apartment if one is purchased.
