How to beat Good King Mog (MIKU)

    Tips on winning this fight

Hate from phase 1 is carried over to phase 2. E.g. If you have highest Hate on BRD(Puksi Piko the Shaggysong) when he readies Maximoogle the big moogle will follow you till you are not highest hate on him.

In every fight I'm purposely trying to get highest hate on BRD in phase 1 so I'm the kiter at the beginning of Phase 2. And you will notice the big moogles are going after me in those videos. My mistake in 2nd video is I had highest hate on the THF(Pukna Pako the Tailturner), the THF will randomly petrify you. If you have big moogle on you and petrified you're dead unless a cnj is pumping cures into you.

We had 2 wins yesterday where no one died.

Our Party Setup: GLA, GLA, CNJ, CNJ, ARC, ARC, ARC, ARC

    Phase 1:
1st Tank: Builds hate on PLD.
DD: Auto attacks PLD till 3000 TP. then switches to first moogle that spawns.
2nd Tank and DD: takes out moogles as they appear.
Kiter DD: Tries to get highest hate on BRD and a few other wimpy moogles like WHM, BLM.
2nd Tank: Tries to get highest hate on MRD, and if he can RNG.
another DDs: Tries to get highest hate on THF.
Note: We now are killing all moogles by having everyone including the CNJs nuke the PLD at the start.

    Summoning Phase:
When King appears from the ground everyone cast sentinel. Someone cast Sacred Prism + Sanguine Rite so everyone gets full MP when AF hits. Assign other people including DD to cast Sacred Prism + Cure when King is mid cast of his AF so everyone has full HP after AF hits. Also cast other defensive abilities like Featherfoot.

    Phase 2:
Our kill order in videos: BLM, WHM, BRD, THF, RNG, WAR, KING, PLD. We are now THF after BLM in our most recent wins.
1st Tank: Tanks King on southern edge.
2nd Tank: Tanks MRD on eastern edge.
Kiter DD watches for maximoogle and kites them also heal himself. (Shadowbind works on the big moogles)
DDs should always heal themselves to minimize the healing required by the CNJs. Use Bloodbath, Second Wind and if those are not up use cure. Try to be top off as much as possible.
If someone dies one of the DDs should immediately raise them. Do not have CNJs raise because usually another person dies when you try to do this.

Key to win this phase is to minimize damage, heal yourself and slowly take out one moogle at a time. We were never successful at trying to zerg this phase.

    Moogles jobs
    Pukla Puki the Pomburner BLM
    Pukna Pako the Tailturner THF
    Furryfoot Kupli Kipp WHM
    Puksi Piko the Shaggysong BRD
    Woolywart Kupqu Kogi RNG
    Ruffletuft Kupta Kapa WAR
    Whiskerwall Kupdi Koop PLD
Good King Moggle Mog XII (All Jobs, receives job abilities as other moogles die)

    Moogle Abilities
Pom Flare (BLM): AOE fire around caster, hits for about 1000-1500 HP (KING: 2000-2500 HP)
Mognesia (THF): AOE around caster that drains MP about 300-800 MP.
Break (THF): Single cast that inflicts target with the effect of Petrification
Maximoogle (BRD): Single cast on moogle that increases it's size, immune to all attacks, and it moves slowly to target that has BRD highest hate. If moogle reaches target it hit for 1000 HP. (KING: casts Maximoogle on himself and picks a random target. If KING reaches target he hits for 1500 HP.
Whisker Bash (PLD): Single attack that inflicts target with the effect of Pacification. About 300-500 HP
Moogle-Go-Round (WAR): AOE around caster, hits for about 600 HP (KING: 1000 HP)
Moogle Eye Shot (RNG): Single Range attack that hits for about 1500 HP (KING: 2500 HP)
Cure IV (WHM): Single cast on moogle that heals about 2000 HP (KING: 3000 HP)
Mogdive (PLD, BRD, KING): Single attack that hits for about 200-600 HP.
Call for help (BLM,WHM,RNG,WAR,THF): Either calls PLD, WHM, or KING for help. PLD or KING will attack player who has highest hate. WHM or KING will Cure IV moogle who called for help.
Memento Moogle II (KING): Unavoidable AOE casted after summon. Damage reduced by more moogles defeated in phase 1. You need to kill 6/7 of the moogles in Phase 1 to prevent a wipe.

I sure I made some mistakes, let me know and I'll correct them.

let's stop this madness shall we ? This fight it's way more forgiving on AOEs differently from sear, meaning: arc have some advantage, but any dd it's viable since they're all close to damage (thm aside).
    Anyhow, thanks of the tips

As far as I know there's not much difference between DPS output between the classes anymore. If anything ARCs are too fragile and maybe not the optimal choice, but they're much easier to combo with and the moogles dance around constantly which makes lining up front/side/back requirements all the time a bit annoying.

    Thanks for the info!

So far we are having some difficulty having everyone survive Moogle Memento. Im a little confused because we kill enough moogles that its down to lvl II, and both our tanks can usually survive with over 2500 hp. We gather for stoneskin, AoE Rampart, and sentinel as the king pops, right before attack goes off.

Is there something we are missing? Or is it safe to assume that some of our members are just mis-timing their buffs?

Great info concerning the BRD and big moogles. Every time we are doing great after the Memento we do not react fast enough to Mooglezilla. Now that we know its the BRD target and its actually his ability I think we can control it better and know what to expect. It is MaxiMoogle that makes them big right?

    Thanks!

If you kill all moogles excluding the PLD and you pop sentinel when King appears then Memento Moogle II will hit everyone for 2026 HP (GLA 1226 HP). A few ppl doing Sacred Prism + Cure will get everyone topped off.

    yep MaxiMoogle makes big moogles.

Or just burn them all down and get hit by Memento for 200 damage tops.

Benefit of leaving the PLD alive is getting full mp after Memento goes with with Sanguine Rite, whereas if you nuked the PLD down you'd be short on mp going into phase 2.

It's also easier to avoid BLM's flare, and the MRD's AOE

We never had an issue. GLA THM CNJ CNJ ARC x4. If we ran an extra tank or arc and nuked with 2 CNJ, then it may be a problem, but as it is, we can rotate the CNJ nuking/recovering.
