What's so bad about parsers? In fights where enrage happens all the time, it's usually one or two people hindering the group, why disband the whole group? Should the state also ban sports teams from firing and trading bad players so they can get good players? Should the entire football team be disbanded because they have 5 bad players and they don't want to offend them? Should we ban statistics of all kinds because it emotionally distresses underperfomers? Should we ban bad grades in school? Performance reviews at work? Besides, you can easily see how well people are performing by seeing their buff, debuff and DoT uptime, you don't even need the parser.

Secondly, if there was an official parser, a couple of tens of thousands of aneurysms would pop.
Thirdly, if you join a clear party for something, you should be at the skill level required to clear it. You can't expect to hide your actual performance. Why should other people carry you? If you say 'well I don't know how well I'm performing, how do I know if my rotation is good?', there's the Stone, sky, sea.

It's the koike incident and it's the exact reason they arne't allowed and the exact behavior everyone who supports parsers claims will never happen.

People who "support parse" don't say that this never happen.
As long as humans exists, you'll have people to make good or bad things with certain tools.
That's just all.

This is a bit of an overly optimistic take on the new rules, imo. The new rules just make it so that people can't be quite as open about their toxicity, it's not actually a silver bullet that solves it. Instead of calling people out for having bad parses in chat, they can just talk to their friends on discord about it or their FC/linkshell members who they know won't report them, kick them from the group for a made up reason/whatever. Putting a parser in-game would just amplify the behavior, even with the new policy in place.

That being said, I think it's something they should do at some point anyway, but I don't think that the changes in this policy are enough to make them reconsider.

Personal opinion is a parser will never be officially permitted for as long as it is not possible for ALL clients to have access to one.

they would happen at the same time as some time ago they said they put mod support on haitus forever due to the able to make parsers with it.

Once PS4 lets you mod on the client. But since that's never happening we'll never see mod support in any sense. New rules or not.

PS4 wouldn't be an issue if there is official meter in the game itself. Even in WoW, I don't like installing addons, although I should because WoW doesn't even have visible coordinates in its map from what I can tell, ugh.
