Right, because running 200 Garuda EXs totally enticed people to actually play the classes in roulettes. Just like running 300 of the easier EX unsynced for 5.0 will be super enticing for players to play tanks and stick with it.

(Neither of you are wrong, but my point was it was easily bypassed. People that only want the mounts are going to find the easiest, fastest thing to farm that's not locked to a once-a-day stipulation.)

that doesn't count for the flying mounts and it won't count if there's a new set.

i do 24 man raids, normal raids and Expert on tank all the time right now because of these flying mounts (i'm a healer main otherwise). i already have the PLD one and pretty close to finishing the DRK one.

i finished all 3 ground mounts doing Wondrous Tails, not some lame EX tank point farm.

if people want to be doing Lakshmi EX 900x to catch up to the 700+ runs that i already have that's fine with me, i'll be over here leveling jobs to 80 and doing 71+ content for the newer set of tank mounts (as long as there's a 3rd set).

and purely mechanical mounts sound great, i'm down for that.

Angelo should have been the mount you'd get when you get all the wolf mounts. They could also make him sprout angel wings to fly, as a nod to Rinoa

When healers are consistently the most in demand for duty finder, sure. The reason they added the tank ones was to get people to sign up for things as tanks to earn them. I doubt they're going to add them for other jobs unless the ratio alters long term.

Which is something they should have prevented.


Anyway, the only reason I'm still doing roulettes is for the tank mounts on WAR & DRK, the PLD I got long ago since that's always been my main job. I don't spend hours & hours farming like a a mad man for them, I just do the daily roulettes.

That won't make them sign up more, simply because they'll either wait for the content to be unsynced or just do it with friends. The only people actually enjoying the rewards 'deservedly' is tank mains.

If they wanted they should make it where you have to random queue ( no premade) into roulettes inorder to get credit to get the mounts. Who knows they might even reskin the existing tank mounts and make the lvl80 ones two seaters.
