Nope. I only use it to kill myself to spawn Chernobog.
This in a nutshell. The only reason I even touched it at all in the past week is because a friend insisted we got Ink Jet - the last non-Primal spell we were missing. We were out with maybe 5 runs, both of us with the spell. I can't even say I cleared the Masked Carnivale, I got maybe two stages cleared and lost interest. Maybe I'll come back eventually for the achievements but right now I rather work on hunts and Mentor roulettes before the expansion hits.

    -Are you still playing BLU
    No.

-Just for the weekly masked carnival challenges?
No, I haven't done the Masked Carnivale after the first time. There's no reason to, and they're not fun enough to warrant repeating. I had more fun doing some guildhests such as Ward Up and Annoy the Void.

-Did you play it more than if it was a full job?
No. It would be my main job and contribute heavily to my future enjoyment of the game if it was a full job, but I only had fun with it for maybe 3~4 hours.

-Did you enjoy your time playing BLU
For the few hours I was trying to figure out where to learn spells myself and how to string them together to accomplish output relative to other level 50 jobs, yes. I had a lot of hope that I would be able to utilize this gameplay in a meaningful way once I had ticked off all the necessary spells. This of course did not happen. I like the playstyle and spells, I had wanted to challenge the game with a party as a Blue Mage. Yet even in the context of a limited job, Blue Mage has nothing to utilize its gameplay with. Masked Carnivale requires so few spells and is very basic.

-Did you enjoy the content limited job offer, not necessarily BLU itself (overworld collection/special arenas with special conditions)?
I might have, until I realized it had no real meaningful value in the long run. There's no meaningful payoff to collecting all the spells, Azulmagia is a disappointing finale that I wished felt like a full primal fight, yet didn't even have a unique music or battlefield.

-Would you rather adjustments for BLU to be more enjoyable as a limited job, or turned into a full one?
    A full job, 100%.
How I feel about it is thus: FFXIV exists and is enjoyable to me a heartfelt tribute to the series as a whole. For almost everything in this game it's been a labor of love and I appreciate that. Blue Mage is one of my favorite parts of the series, it's my favorite job and represents some of my favorite characters.
For it to be treated like a job that must be excluded from everything makes the statement that Blue Mage wasn't good enough to be a part of the tribute for the rest of the Final Fantasy series. This is what hurts the most and feels very disrespectful.
To fix Blue Mage into a job that feels like FFXIV is treating its history properly would require a massive amount of resources being put into its "limited" features, and still have a limited lifespan no matter what. It being a full job that can experience the entirety of the game with its classic brothers and sisters is the most obvious and preferred way for it to attain that worthwhile status.

One more heartfelt personal plea, please make Blue Mage a full job in the context of FFXIV, it would make this player very happy.

-Are you looking forward to more limited jobs?
No. I like FFXIV and have put a lot of time into it, but I'm also a fan of the Final Fantasy series as a whole. Blue Mage has been realized in many different iterations over the years, but none to the exclusion of it from the rest of the game. I care about Blue Mage very much, and there are certainly fans of other jobs that would feel the same way about their favorites. Not adapting them to FFXIV as a unique entity is saying that these jobs are worth less to the history of Final Fantasy than other things. Limited jobs feel like an excuse to check them off a checklist instead of creating a modern take on beloved history.

Played it fofor st few days. Actually forgot it was even a thing on my gear set (its way at the bottom under all my crafters on the list)
Don't have all the spells and haven't even attempted the carnival yet (so don't have white wind etc either) but I don't feel the need to. It hasn't been an issue up to when I stoped.

    -Are you still playing BLU?
Only for weekly Masked Carnival, rest of the time it's just my default job I go to, basically an overglorified glamour plate right now.

-Just for weekly Masked Carnival challenge?
    Yep.

-Did you play it more than a full time job?
Nope. Actually playing with BLU is just 10 minutes a week. 10 minutes. I play RDM all throughout the 2 years since it was released. Once you're done you're done. Literally.

-Did you enjoy your time playing BLU?
Yes. Apart from the bs RNG, the Learning system is flexible, stays true to BLU experience and doesn't feel like a hinderance. I had fun going tank BLU as it allowed me to think outside the box on how to tank, but that's only for dungeons as outside of it even if you're fully kitted out, any Primal that looks at you you die, even at max gear (ilv 130 only gives almost 5.1k HP, and that's me as a Highlander) and by the end of it, I was just pulling everything, White Wind + Diamondback and let the other 3 BLU explode. The Masked Carnival has a more useless elemental system and more inconsiquential than even Eureka.

There's nothing to do with BLU anymore apart from run weeklies, which I only do now to give it life for it, there's no point to it otherwise.

-Did you enjoy the limited content offer?
Nope. Burn it, scrap it, get rid of it now.

-Would you like adjustments for BLU to be made into a real job?
Absolutely. More than anything. BLU is my favourite FF job of all time, and to be denied to main it and be made into a street performer (that literally all we are, we just parade with SFX reminding people that at least their jobs not Limited). A part of me does wish everyones job gets Limited at some point, so we can have the biggest backlash and outrage ever seen on FFXIV to get this system scrapped faster than Yoshi-Ps promises during ARR.

Hell, Limited jobs are just a sinkhole that SE made, then built a house over and now that sinkholes threatening to destroy whatever property SE builds on top of it, with the only way is to chuck more and more content and less and less restrictions to try and clog it but that sinkhole's only going to get bigger.

Rather than condemn the house and build it on the plains of unlimited jobs like its fellow brothers and sisters, SE would rather make the foundation of BLU out of matchsticks and flex tape on the belief that waiting it out long enough will have it suddenly disappear.

-Are you looking forward to more Limited jobs?
Fudge no. Limited jobs are the death sentence and admission of creative sterility of SE. Depending on how they continue if they stick to Limited jobs and how they handle Viera and ShB, it might be time for Yoshi-P to consider his position and that he should expect the fans to either want him to resign or that his vision is not always the right one and it can be extremely harmful to the game, either out of arrogance or he can't comprehend ideas that are better than his.

More than i do my Sam/War/Drk/Drg/Whm/Sch/Mnk but not as much as the others there isn't enough to do on it but it does have more of a reason for me to go back to it than a few lv 70 jobs

Yes and no I absolutely loved doing boom boom dungeons but the trial spells/abilities became real old real fast to get for everyone in fc this could've been alleviated if they allowed you to also learn them in the masked carnivale

Yes but it needed more fleshing out for the masked Carnivale and maybe change some of the overworld mobs that only spawn in a specific place to fate mobs force sync to prevent one shots bu still have you able to learn the ability regardless of level

Current Blu's implementation make it a full job or you adjust it to be so OP that Alexander Prime wants to use its wings to fly away

With Blu's implementation in mind HARD NO they would have to adjust a fair few things to change that, I had and still have fun with Blu its restrictions right now seem misguided and unwarranted

I don't understand why they could'nt balance it as a regular job?

In every Final Fantasy and in Final Fantasy XI Online it worked, too.
And i believe that BLU in FFXI could learn almost any abillity? Of Course he was limited to how many / which he could equip:
All BLU Magic Spells / Youtube

I believe we are seeing Puppetmaster or Beastmaster as the next 'limited job'.
Because in Yoshidas' opinion pet classes are always overpowered and cant be balanced 'right'.. Though i think in Final Fantasy XI they did a great job on that. Pet jobs in FFXI were incredibly fun and 'real'.
In FFXIV pets are just trash pets (in contrast to FFXI, they are more like the regular MMORPG trash pets like in WoW, Guild Wars etc.) which you take out and you dont need to worry about them much (Machinist, Summoner, Scholar).
They do slight damage over time attacks on their own - automatically..

Puppetmaster was one of my favorites in FFXI, since you had basic frames (RNG,BLM,PLD, WHM, RDM) but could also individualize their abillities and you had to command them manually + you could perform combos together with them:

Im pretty sad, that you probably wont be able to play puppetmaster in groups too.. Just because Yoshi P thinks that pet classes are always overpowered and hard to balance..
FFXI did a good job on that i think.

As much as i appreciate the job that Yoshi P. had done.. some other things i pretty dislike (as a fan of Final Fantasy) for example turning the Final Fantasy Summoner into a World of Warcraft 'Warlock class' with ugly simplistic 'egis'.. screwing the elemental weekness wheel totally for monsters.. etc. pp.
And keeping the same style of combat like the WoW combat (yes its for the masses i know).

But sometimes i feel FFXIV misses its unique Final Fantasy Soul, though they copied many typical FF stuff into it (Gold Saucer, FF monsters, Limit Break etc.). But then it fails on other (for me) important details. It seems that they dont want to risk too much. Thats why they are going to implement classes that are difficult to balance as pure solo content job classes, which i think is kinda sad.

    -Are you still playing BLU
    Occasionally.

-Just for the weekly masked carnival challenges?
Yes. I have only gotten the easy spells I can solo plus the one from Aurum Vale and I have no intention to spend time farming them.

-Did you play it more than if it was a full job?
I would have continued leveling to 70, geared up and actually attempted to get level 50 dungeon/trial spells if I could do content on this job. I play it less as it is.

-Did you enjoy your time playing BLU
Finding easy spells and leveling my chocobo was fun. Some challenges were fun. The easy Poetics are useful for building item level 270 gear sets for the new jobs, but with the lack of a relic quest this is temporary.

-Did you enjoy the content limited job offer, not necessarily BLU itself (overworld collection/special arenas with special conditions)?
I enjoy job-specific content. A job being limited or not has nothing to do with whether it offers job-specific content and I wish the content wasn't used as an excuse to limit jobs.

-Would you rather adjustments for BLU to be more enjoyable as a limited job, or turned into a full one?
A full one. I want no more resources spent on this job or the Limited Job concept if it's never going to enjoy new content with other jobs.

-Are you looking forward to more limited jobs?
I dread the day more are announced.

-Are you looking forward to more limited jobs?
-Not really. I hop on it now and then to look at ability animations.
    - No. I don't need more Allied Seals or Poetics so there's no reason to bother.
-No. BLU is my favourite FF class and I would switch to maining it if it were a full job.

-Yes. It's really fun finally getting to use stuff like Dragon's Voice and Sticky Tongue.
-I enjoyed learning spells in the overworld and doing low level dungeons in all BLU groups. I also liked solving the puzzles in the Masked Carnival and getting the achievements. I did not enjoy grinding the low learn rate Primal skills or 50 dungeon stuff with carry groups.
    -Full job. No contest.
-No. I do not believe that limited jobs will ever be updated enough to stay fun for any meaningful length of time. If SE insists on making them I'd prefer they'd make new jobs unique to XIV instead of ruining series favourites.
