    I was talking about immunity to instant/near-instant death (Doom and Tail Screw), percentage based dmg (Missile), stone and paralysis because they are just to strong (or just silly) against bosses. So the magic vulnurability, dmg reduction, blind, slow, heavy, silence and stun which the Blu offers are still there, unless the bosses aren't already immune to them.
    Also I said that only bosses should have those immunities, not the trash mobs in dungeons or the open field mobs. Also, most bosses in most FF are immune against said status ailments/dmg types.

    Or to make it short: I fail to see how the only thing making Blu unique is instant killing a boss with doom.

    Thing is, for Blue Mage as tank is The Look and/or Mighty Guard absolutly mandatory. If your Blue Mage tank has no enmity generating skills, then he's basically useless. Therefor you have to make absolutly sure that he has at least The Look before running into the first dungeon.

    Nice, so that we can poison mobs to death in 20 minutes instead of killing them in 2 cast. Useless.

    No, they're not. That's exactly what made BLU fun in its first iteration.

    Oh right, sorry, forgot that those two casts before diminishing returns sets in are the be all end all! What is that, thirty seconds of paralyze? Super useful.

    But you know what IS useful that no one else can spam? 10% damage down. Then you have Peculiar light, which any magic class would KILL to have in a group.

    Bosses already ARE immune to all the BLU-only effects. I've done lots of experimenting and nearly 100% of the time the only enemy in a fight that can be Tail Screwed, Missiled, etc. are adds that are summoned. Even those aren't sure to proc though. Garuda EX for example: boss and Sisters immune to everything. Satin can be Missiled but the other feathers cannot.

    So, making every boss encounter static immune to some spells would actually be a boon. You know it won't work going in so you can set a different spell instead. This would make actual use of spell sets, too.

    BLU is already the least desired job for being level 50 and being forced to form a premade. From rock bottom there's nowhere to go but up. Peculiar Light can be adjusted so that BLU has a spot somewhere between least and most desired.

    The funny thing is, underneath SE logic (alongside saying reason why BLU has no weapon upgrades is so they don't have to farm dungeons for it yet they allow Primals OK what the sense make) SMN should also be more restricted and limited over BLU, in order to do the job "justice", as SMN sure doesn't represent want people wanted.

    If you can make SMN as conflicted and a mess of what a SMN should be, can still make BLU a full job while staying true to itself.

    The reason we don't have weapon glams was not because they didn't want to make people farm for them, it is because they didn't want to spend the time and effort to make them.

    I'm on the make BLU a Full/Unlimited Job Wagon. People who say it's impossible and that they won't be able to put time into changing it, do you remember FFXIV before ARR? Sure, it was a much more disastrous situation, but it begs the question "If they can go ahead and revamp their whole game due to negative feedback, why can't they revamp a whole job system due to negative feedback?" Limited Jobs was a mistake and everyone is seeing that now with BLU. Yoshida aind the FFXIV should know this by now and hopefully have plans to redo BLU as well as scrap Limited Jobs altogether.
