Your attitude really didn't help (and we did see your chocobo kill the bombs a few times). If you just despawned your chocobo or put it in healer stance, you would not have been the main target of the drama and people would have been requesting the other players killing the bombs to "stop!"Why exactly do I need to set me chocobo to heal? I don't need heals. Oh wait, I guess you (or people with the same opinion) will just report me if I refuse to set it to heal, or put it away, right.
Guess what, chocobos dead or gone, people were still killing bombs. I got called out and "reported" multiple times because it was solely my fault and my bird that was killing the bombs. Guess what? My chocobo died and all the bombs were still being massacred by the huge group of players without chocobos.

Oh they did "request" at the threat of reporting for griefing along with calling these people every name in the book. Calling people out specifically and calling out for mass report. If they wouldn't have been so aggressive to everyone, I would have been more amiable to put away my bird when asked "nicely", than being called names, and report threats. According to them, they probably reported dozens of people, including any new people coming in with their companion out.Your attitude really didn't help (and we did see your chocobo kill the bombs a few times). I wasn't even the only one who had a companion out in the first place, they were just selectively choosing people to call out, and call "griefers". You should have seen the blame game, as soon as my bird was gone it was everyone and their mother, cherry picked.
[EDIT] OH! You were actually there!

I was there. I didn't report you, but I did allude to 3.2 in the ToS for you to consider after requesting you to despawn (well, "kill the bird") your chocobo, or put it in healer stance. Your first response to that was "F no," but without the censorship.
Your chocobo did kill a few of the bombs we were trying to learn the spell from, though. I have no idea what happened after I left (I finally learned the spell).

I was responding the way I was, because of how aggressive everyone was in the first place. If I replied to you that way it wasn't anything personal. What happened after was my bird died, and I didn't bother to respawn it, and they started calling out anyone and everyone, some by name, and calling for mass reports. There were tons of people just coming in and killing them themselves, multiple people with chocobos out, and people stunning it or killing it during self-destruct. I highly doubt most of those people that supposedly got reported had "griefing" on their mind. Yeah, sure, there might have been people purposefully stunning a few of them or pushing them out of the self-destruct, but not the majority. People's attitudes didn't help at all.I was there. The biggest issue was probably 35 people trying to tag the bomb at the same time, or at the last minute, and killing it.

So why didn't you just do the smart thing and just either despawned or set your chocobo to only heal? If people were calling you out by name, and you still continued on, knowing well in advance that a huge influx of players were there specifically to get self-destruct, why would you continue to keep the target placed on your back because 'MINE COMPANION'? It's not that hard, just despawn or switch it to healer stance, and let the angry mob turn their frustrations onto somebody else that's causing the problems. Seems like you only have yourself to blame for keeping that target on your back.I have it on attack, because it is MY companion. It's not even the companion that I am calling out, it's the people screamingt "griefer, griefer, REPORT REPORT". As I said, chocobos are a scapegoat, I tested it once my bird died, and the bombs were still not getting any casts off because players themselves were killing the bombs. No one person was at fault for these bombs being massacred.
Ran into the exact same thing earlier. Was going for Final Sting, somebody thought my chocobo was killing it. I invited them to watch my chocobo - it was on healer stance the entire time. And what happened? Absolutely nothing, they pointed out the griefer who was killing the wespe and shouted at him instead. And I got Final Sting with no problems.
See the difference? Be smart, not stubborn.

Yeah, had someone /tell me before the drama last night asking me to turn my chocobo to healer stance... when it already was on healer stance (it was pretty close to the bomb and they all do their combat wiggle dance). I informed them of such and they apologised.
But having your chocobo on attack on top of others not understanding how you get the skills will not make it better, it will make the situation worse, especially since chocobos love to stun the enemies.I have it on attack, because it is MY companion. You can learn Self destruct in other places.
Two such placed other people have learned self destruct are in Haukke Manor (boss candle add) and Cutters Cry on the way to the boss
