I can't fathom WHY a server merge is a bad idea?
What is wrong with trying to get people to play together?

All I see is hurr.
They should at least let players re-select which server they want to join and eliminate several servers after payment starts. There is no point in letting people play in a server with about 200 people max.....especially if we're paying monthly fees.

Looks like 500-700 is pretty consistent, though I'm pretty sure I missed primetime by an hour or two.

Tried looking up via breakdown of GC and none but all 3 GC were over 200 so I had to break the search down by levels to get the #s.

i never seen more than 56 people in all areas, i sure its broken since my link shell was most of the population lol
These numbers won't be getting any better once billing starts. Again reinforcing why billing now is a mistake. This game seems to be two bad desicions for every good one made. I hope they can make more progess on it in 2012 then they did in 2011.
u do know they have merged servers 2-3 times right? lol pretty soon its gnna be 1 server left on that game
When the game goes to the ps3 all pops will go up just as much as ff xi is at
if you guys are trying to figure out server populations just remember
not everyone is always logged in, and its only a fraction of people logged in at any given time(by fraction i mean doubling the peak hours isnt your pop either, your peak hour pop is still only gonna be 10-20% of the max pop at most)
sure this doesnt put the game pop much higher then some of the higher estimates, but you are looking at around 50k people at least still playing as of right now
as of next month, i predict we get at least 75% of the pop to stay
