but that's normal and how personal ratings work. it just came out so everyone start at the same player rating, be it ultra novice, bad players and good players. unless you start as a good player yourself you need to let some time pass so that the good players get to higher personal ratings so you can avoid them until you reach their level.

So far all the complaints I've seen are people saying they either don't know how to play or don't want to spend time learning how to play. That's purely subjective. It's a minigame, its not like we'd get another dungeon if they didn't add this, so why the complaints?
The only legit issue I see is the orchestrion rolls

Hmm, good point. So right now at the start, everyone is bobbing around 1500, the good players are winning more and adding more +9 / +29 (?) points to their rating. They'll get to 1600 pretty quickly and keep on going.

If you're now better than the other people who are left around 1500, you start to move up yourself.

I think it works out okay, at least in theory, as long as you can persevere with it a bit. But I haven't started playing it myself to see how it goes.

On the other hand it seems like it might be pretty hard work to fight your way back up if you are unlucky and or still learning and your ranking goes down before you can start building it up.

People run SR all the time. In fact, I'd be willing to bet it's the most popular of the three FL maps.

I played a match with 4 friends for over 60+ minutes. I won and we all got no rewards at all. Depressing is right.

I'm sure this is to prevent win-trading, but if its for mgp and not ranks, who really cares...

Who cares if you can win-trade spam with friends to chain huge amounts of MGP? That might not be what you meant but that sounds like what you are implying, if so you can't see the issue with that? MGP would be meaningless if that was allowed.

I really like this game, but to be fair I had already learnt a lot of the rules from playing the Yakuza games.

Think of it as a combination of poker and dominoes. As far as speed goes the game can be played very fast 15 min matches or so. I fell in love with the game while in Malaysia. I would go to a cafe down the street where the guys would just be slinging the tiles out, clack clack clack! Like Dominoes here in the west it would be for money.

So in ranked matches there are going to be really good players and god help us if we get matched with China, Korea or Japan servers! I strongly suggest sticking with NPCs till you learn the game. but once learned it can be a real blast to play!

personally, and this is an unpopular opinion, No I dont care. The gold saucer is my least favorite content and I get all of my MGP from event giveaways and selling TT cards. Coupled with the fact it took us 60+ minutes to complete a single match, I'm of the opinion "if 4 people are willing to spend that much time on a few thousand MGP, go for it".

Now I probably wouldn't partake in the win-trading bc thats a huge waste of my own time, but I wouldnt be against it existing.
