Is it wrong to run Castrum Abania as a tank at ilvl 272

Don't need to look very far: I reran Violet Tides, Bardam's Mettle, Doma until I had fully deck out in dungeon gear (on both RDM and on the three tanks). I didn't have Augmented Shire gear while leveling, just a mismatch of Unaugmented Shire and Sunburst Gear from Diadem 2.0. So, yeah, at a certain point, I felt it was necessary for me to fully upgrade before moving onto the next dungeon.

Surely somebody realized that to even achieve 272, homeboy needs at least full 270 + at minimum 4-5 pcs mixed between 276 & 282 (Bardem's & Doma)

I've done this several times. Not necessarily to get fully decked out but getting a good number of pieces, and supplementing from other sources if need be. It's really not that hard with a bit of effort to keep up with gear while leveling.

Not really the same but I used Aug Shire on most of my classes until lvl 66, where I replaced by crafted HQ gear (made by myself). When I leveled my tanks, I already had most of the Bardam, Doma and Abania sets complete for them. If I was missing a piece, I'd complement it with crafted gear.

Oh thats rich. You think its hard to find players that do that? Already found more than one, the people i usualy play with and myself. You know its not hard to get fitting gear because its not only the dungeon gear but also the crafted gear, but at least you've tried.

It's not like keeping up with gear is hard 60 to 70. And doing so in turn respects the time of people you group with in DF.

How is this not valuing my time? No, seriously.... how is running the same dungeon a couple times to replace missing slots a waste of time when I'm getting levels from it anyway? And hey, bonus... I get to run the next most difficult dungeon that much more efficiently as I have additional padding.

Funny thing is - I'm not even a raider. I just don't see the sense in working harder because I'm undergeared - especially when my inventory is overflowing from all the gear this game throws at me.

I'd still take an undergeared player who knows their job over an overgeared player that doesn't.
