I was hoping to achieve something similar to the stage/loft glitch (I think it's executed the same way?), where I "float" a futon mattress, to put the folded blanket at the foot of a bed, if that makes sense.

It a glitch for that still doable? It's a bit hard to google, since I don't know what type of glitch is used to do it. I've seen a couple of screenshots before of others who did similar with their beds, but I don't know how long ago they did it, or if it's been patched out.

    Great addition.

Just to note, it seems to work with virtually anything. I've floated beds, chairs, pillars, etc.

The glitch in the video above should work for floating a futon. I haven't done it with the futon personally, but I have floated other beds and other "rugs".

Might have to play about with it a bit though, and it can't float too low to the ground otherwise it will snap back once you leave the room.

I tried this a couple times on a rug which didn't work most times, I think I just need practice. But I tried it on the Head of the Dreadwyrm and never got it off the ground. I wonder if some pieces it won't work for.

There is a spreadsheet that someone was working on to see which items work and which don't, as well as how high you have to get something before it will not snap back to the ground.

I can confirm it works for a futon, but please note that its center point where you should add the table and later the stage panel and shelf if needed is somewhere between the pillow and blanket

What bed are you looking to add it to? Some you don't even need to float it. We have the double feather bed and it works perfectly well without floating - I'd assume that other beds of the same relative height would work the same way. I'm not sure about canopied beds, but I'd also be afraid the futon might stick through the wooden footboard area, though.

Ok cool. Wondering then if the problem is that it's too close to the ground D: Darn. I'll have to play with it more, because right now I can't even manage to get it to float at all!

Good to know it still works! I'll have to watch the video again and try and get the hang of it, because it wasn't making a whole lot of sense to me. Though, my bed of choice might not be the best to work with, since, as Jandor mentioned, it can't be TOO low to the ground. I didn't know that.

Does getting it to work have anything to do with which way the object is facing? Hard to put to words, but like, will it only snap to a floating position at a certain angle, or only work a certain distance from the wall? Sounds like it would be super difficult to get it to line up with where my bed is positioned. I might have to see if it will float at all at the proper height, and move my bed to match it, lol.

Haven't even tried any other beds. Always assumed they were all the same general height (minus a few drastically looking beds). Mine's an oasis canopy, so no idea how it would turn out. Good point about it potentially being visible from the sides, though, since it doesn't even float in the purple "preview mode". I love canopy beds, but I guess I might have to consider changing it, since I like the look of the futon xD

I don't understand why they made the beds look so uncomfortable..like, where are the blankets?? Hahaha.

What, you mean you're not enticed into glorious slumber by a thin piece of cloth stretched across a flat board, with a rolled up newspaper for a pillow? (Seriously. The glade one looks kind of cushy and I like the futons but dang the other beds look flat.)

You've got to place the little table then quickly exit out, like be ready with finger on the ESC key, place the table then slam that ESC button.

Other than that it seems pretty forgiving in my experience, the table wants to be roughly in the middle of the item you're floating, but the circular stage part especially I've been using nowhere near centralized, the video says keep your camera aligned and stuff but I've literally left the room then come back later and carried on elevating stuff higher. If it didn't work I just stick the item I'm using to increase elevation back in my inventory and try again.

But yeah, as with other glitches too, you've got to be careful about getting it too close to anything it might snap too, including the floor. Also make sure to give whatever you're floating a bit of a rotate backwards and forwards once it's up otherwise it might fall out of the sky when you leave the room.
