Where will the Orbonne Monastery lead?

Also we won't get the Lucavi for Cancer. We never saw it in FFT, but technically Construct 7 was an optional boss at Nelveska Temple and was brought to life with the Cancer stone's power. We never saw Pisces power either because Isilude died while it was in his possession and never formed a pact with it. (Should have been bonus content in WoL version)

Arcadia in any form seems unlikely to me; the Garlean Empire fills that equivalent role in FFXIV's setting (large empire to the north that conquers Dalmasca, makes use of airship fleets and has heavily-armored generals, etc.). My money would be on the Great Crystal (or, alternatively, the Great City of Giruvegan) being hidden beneath it; it's a fairly important place in FFXII's plot, and it's also where you fight Ultima in the post-game, which would tie in well with Alma's apparent possession.

It also makes me wonder how much we can go off the maps from FFT and FFXII, as the Monastery is just Northwest of the large southern Peninsula to the Southwest of Lesalia. For FFXII that corresponds to near the Giza Plains, which has tons of ruins in it. Of course with FFXII before FFT and FFXII recent history in FFXIV with Ashe scene in the cut scenes, that is why I wonder about it. Also Goug was on the opposite side of the Peninsula as the Lighthouse, so map there is completely different too. Rabanastre and Lesalia though were in similar places on the maps.

Less than a week till we find out though! Please nothing like Chocobo Savage to unlock it. At least no Riovones Castle!!!!

My running joke so far is that the sniper mech boss is basically Adramme-mech, but of course I know this is unlikely lol. Anyway, since the Pharos was covered in the previous raid I have to agree that the FFXII segment of the new one is most likely going to either be relevant to Giruvegan or possibly the wreckage of Bahamut Sky Fortress, given that they were the other late-game dungeons. I also wonder if Ascian Altima will possess Alma and use her form to become the Lucavi Altima using the Auracite. Ascian involvement in this story would not surprise me in the least. In any case, I do hope a couple of the first set of bosses have the Lucavi battle theme from Tactics, as it would be especially fitting for Zalera if he makes an appearance.

FFXII is before FFT, in FFXII, but they are canonically the same universe. But in FFXIV, the FFXII kingdoms came after the FFT kingdoms (Machine City - Goug is underneath the Ridorana Lighthouse, and Lesalia is underneath Rabanastre), but this scenario isn't canon.

The sniper is odd because it's not from any Ivalice title I recognize. As for Lucavi bosses, we still have Zalera (Gemini), Adrammelech(Aries), Ultima(Virgo), Sel? (Libra), Leviathan?(Pisces), Beelzebub (Cancer), Rophochehe (Sagittarius).

I think it's safe to say Mateus fills in the role for the Pisces.
As for Duma, we've technically had him as a final boss twice now. One as Argath Thadalfus (his design is closer to XII's Chaos design; who also isn't really much of a bull in design aside from his chest having a bull skull and shoulder horns), the other for Yiazmat.

I used to think Orbonne would be UNDER wherever the final raid was, following the pattern of FFT locations being "below" (yes, I know technically speaking, Goug is ABOVE Ridoranna) but now that the Monastery's been confirmed as the raid (at least first part) I guessed (fine, a friend had the idea and I liked it :P ) that Lea Monde was under it...and then the Lore Book II mentions Lea Monde being something like Ivalice's "second capital" so now I'm lost, for all I know it'll be the airship graveyard, or Mullonde, or, heck, maybe even Giruvegan...

I was hoping for Lea Monde, but the most recent pictures they have shown of the Monastery being overrun my by vegetation make me think that Lea Monde will not be linked now. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, no matter how things play out.

They could just keep that, or the obvious parallel with XII which would be the Necrohol of Nabudis. However, that’s not a very notable location.

How it is not? It's a huge part of FF12's backstory, even if in actual gameplay it ended up being an optional area (one that the game more or less explicitly tells you is highly dangerous)

Loads of characters in the game refer to Nabudis (usually in a context of warning, like Reddas's "do not forget Nabudis") as a representation of the dangers of mankind's hubris with regard to nethicite, nethicite being more or less the game's allegory to RL nuclear power.
