Will the wol / wod ever ‘main’ a healer class?

Just something silly to ponder but I couldn’t help but notice that the wol has always been a dps of some kind until 5.0 where they’re now a tank.

Will we healers ever get our time in the spotlight? Will the derplander ever lead the fight while healing his allies? What kind of white robes will he wear?

Like I said. Something silly to ponder.

Honestly I want at least three expansions with the darkness ark. I’m extatic for the new direction and don’t want to see it go back to ‘only light can banish the darkness’ for quite some time if ever.

"Only light can banish the darkness" isn't what RDM stands for. It's balance: sure, Light is not always right, but neither is Dark, and both need to be kept in check.

He was a tank for ARR. Worn out memes aside, Warrior is not a DPS.

I always felt kind of silly maining a healer. Everyone in the story acts like I'm this super strong person. Unstoppable. Amazing. Wow!!!
...... But I just sit in the back and heal the people who actually do all the deeps / eat all the punches. Hahahaha.

I was pretty happy for the acknowledgement from Krile in Ala Mhigo during that one scene though! Since it always bothered me how I sit around and watch people be hurt / die like a derp even though I'm this amazing white mage. Pfft. (You healers know which scene I'm talking about. )


That being said.. I'd love to see healers get their chance to shine. We may not be the "strongest" and we may be delicate to punches but we're the ones in the back who watch over everyone else, making sure we can all live to fight another day!

Short answer: No.

Long answer: We, healers, will never get our time in the spotlight. We got some bone thrown at Stormblood, with the game finally recognizing you're playing as healer job at one specific quest. And that is it.

And that is because healers doesn't sell expansions. DPS and tanks does.
