Personally I don't have the issue. I never paid for the app though i find it mildly useful if I'm bored and think I can sell a map for some 10k+ gil gain than usual. I pay for retainers, a 6 month fee, and have bought most of the emotes or done the campaigns (amazon urk). I go to fanfests and do these things because I enjoy the game and enjoy the stuff I buy. If I didn't think I'd want it, I wouldn't buy it as there are plenty of costumes, minions, and mounts on the mogstation that I don't particularly feel like buying or collecting.

Since I did want these, I did buy them. I expected nothing for Christmas or the Holidays and don't pay particular attention to sales except for being able to gift friends some of them but I also gift them when not on sale so no biggy.

More than anything, I'm still bitter that most of the items aren't account-wide and the ones that are, are overpriced. This is gonna keep happening and it disadvantages people who play regularly on more than one character.

Isn't all this complaining useless? The items were made for the china store only. We only got them cause you the playerbase asked for them. You're LITERALLY getting what you ask for. And yes SE owns the client but they STILL have to pay the fee to move them here. So if SE has to pay along with the original intent of said items was to ALWAYS be in the store. Why do people expect to get this stuff for free again?

That's why it's my own opinion. Basically someone going like "Give me money!" on the day about giving is insulting. If you don't think it's insulting, all power to you. I will respect that opinion.

They're just in-game emotes. You get a holiday themed clothing set by just doing the "Not So Silent Night" quest.

I both do care, and don't care about the mogstation. I don't care because most of that stuff isn't even attractive to me personally, and I don't really support cash shop in a game that I pay a premium price for, both initially and monthly after the fact. However, I do care that, despite the many purchases the mogstation sees, we are not getting the money back into the game at all. Over the years, we've been getting less content despite the budget increasing, and our actual new content is usually DOA or just not good at all for a majority of the playerbase. Stormblood in general has just been a very poor expansion so far with a lot of content spreading a subpar writing, in my opinion.

I mean, I know that a lot of FFXIV's money doesn't go back into the game, as they fund other projects. But it's honestly starting to become a joke that, despite their "huge" focus on the mogstation, that we are getting hit with technical limitation after limitation- unless money is involved, of course. Then somehow the problem magically disappears.

Still can't see why there would be an uproar but feel free to feel insulted, I suppose. During a season that has predominately become about buying things for others I just can't seem to find a reason to be insulted about it. I even bought one of those emotes and a dress for an in-game friend as a Christmas gift.

However, yes you are right that SE is greedy, but it's also about giving: These Mogstation items are little things you can buy and gift (the code) to somebody.

But well... these dances are so underwhelming for that money :x They could at least put some effort into in. It screams last minute present, like the devs thought "oh shit, we have nothing to sell for christmas tomorrow!" and then they came up with this 4 seconds animation loop >.>
