As you and others have said, it's a group responsibility.
Its extremly simple: If you used everything at your disposal to keep your emnity in check, without stopping to dps or dying of course, and the tank still loses aggro to you then he is either way undergeared or didn't do his job right or the OT didn't do his job right.
If you didn't use the given tools to keep your emnity in check and you rip hate of the tank, then you have to git gud.

No one here said something else...except this one person who refuses to use these tools before he/she has aggro.

I'll be on vacation so won't be on very much to post stories, however, one good and one bad before I go both Lakshimi farms:

The bad; was in a party that wanted to do solo tank strats. Which is fine, but the overall dps with 6 dps 1 tank 1 healer was notably bad, entering add phase with her havibg high health still.
Anyways, two problems here was that the agreed #2 agro position didn't stay up north so to not cleave everyone with the aoe.
The second problem being that the pf leader refused to set up pairs for confusion and opted for people to just go wherever they felt like. Meaning that people were dying to being double tapped and everyone being cleaved by an empowered aoe due to #2 being south somewhere.
Dispite my continued request that we just pair up to make things squeaky smooth, they didn't want to and disbanded the party. That happened five days or so ago.

    The good:
Joined a random group one night with my stand in co-tank friend and we both got the dog in seperte farms yesterday went smooth as butter too

I just had... the BEST run of Dun Scaith… probably since that content was relevant. Healers were awesome (and had Esuna). DPS were on point and knew mechanics. MT was great and OT's GOT ADDS. Everything just melted. It made me remember just how fun that raid can be.

Got a PiP que on my alt for Weeping City (it said 19 minutes so I was kind of ehhhh). That ended up being a little more tetchy, however thanks to iLevels and the fact that I landed in a solid group (C Alliance = Best Alliance) it was smooth like butter, even when our adds were placed on top of each other and exploded. XD Made my night.

DPS not using Diversion and then whining when they rip hate is fairly common in my DF experiences. This seems like an applicable DF conversation to me.

I joined a "Final Steps of Faith" unsync party on Party Finder because friend of party leader needed a clear and I decided I could use the bonus WT point and extra poetic tomes. After everyone joined, the "one of the party members do not meet requirements" message shows up.

The party leader asked the friend if the trial is unlocked. The friend then replied with the words "Into the Aery". That means the friend needed the Aery dungeon and not the Final Steps of Faith trial.

The party leader apologized for the mistake. Some of the party members had quite the fun experience I'm pretty sure. Oh well.

I regularly play with a PLD who is quite aggressive in casual content. He basically ignores Shield Oath and enmity combos entirely. I'm nearly BiS on RDM and if I pop Diversion during the split between M&F it will still take quite a while for me to start to rip, especially if I have Lucid.

Just based on hearing the numbers in DF parties from my friends who parse most people are (fairly) doing less than I am in those things if due to gear disparity if nothing else.

Basically if I can control my threat against this PLD the situation you're coming up with is mostly non-existent especially on SAM who has even better potential enjoy control with Merciful Eyes.

I'm not saying this can't happen , but I am saying it's such a case of the exception not the rule that it's a moot point. 99% of the time (and that's not even being hyperbolic) if you're using your tools you will be fine. This means if you aren't fine you aren't using that part of your kit correctly.

Or you're a BRD. Rip BRD. Thanks for Quelling!

Hypothetically speaking if we had a website that recorded the performance of each individual in certain fights, we could theoretically (completely imaginary, doesn't exist) look up each person complaining about tanks not handling aggro. If such a tool and website existed (it doesn't) I would wager that those people would be recorded so ridiculously low that the only way they would rip is if they used 0 aggro management or were using it incorrectly or indeed if their tanks were just outright awful. Unfortunately, such a resource is a Fundamental Fiction,Lies Or Great Synthetic falsehood.

And yes for reference awful tanks completely do exist, I was in World Of Dankness yesterday with some completely platonic not suspect at all friends and I kept ripping aggro from two other tanks who were IN TANK STANCE whilst I was in sword oath. To me this literally made no sense because at that level basically all paladins can do is enmity combos, how was I ripping from a paladin in shield oath? We will never know.

Had a really good Saint Mocianne's Arboretum just now. The tank had an i290 weapon compared to mine and my fellow RDM's i405 weapons, but our aggro management tools helped them keep their aggro through the whole encounter. Was an entertaining 15 minutes.

Ok legit question:How low is the drop rate for Tsukuyomi's mount?

I've been farming her all day and during all of my 20 runs of it this day it dropped once and when it did I rolled a freakin 2 so of course I didn't get it.

Out of all EX Primals her drop rate seems to be abysmal

It took me less than 7 runs to get my Suzaku mount and much less than that for Shinryu and Susano

So far I have all SB Primal mounts except for Tsukuyomi and out of all the primals I had to farm in XIV,she's by far the worst when it comes to my experience with a primal
