for me, when you started yelling "noobs" you lost every credibility you could have. I understand auto-block was a nerf (thou was broken before) and ifrit bypass your shield cause swipes aren't blockable, but telling noob to people it's a poor argument to prove your point. Cry more

I'd really like to see a video with lvl 1 weapons. The Santa crew used their top weapons.

Doing ifrit with level 1 weapons would be impossible, there simply isn't enough damage. Don't know if you've equipped a weathered weapon lately, but the other night I put a bronze war axe on my character thinking I could substitute it for my ifrits axe while waiting for someone to come out to repair it while I was pling my alt. I was doing 80 damage fully buffed storms paths to the mobs. The level 33 mobs, the level 33 mobs that while I had my ifrits axe equipped I was accidently one shotting with auto attack. The damage you do is so determinate on your weapon it is ridiculous. This brings me to the point of the original topic though, all this bs that SE is pulling with the grand companies is completely absurd. Sure, they will be "balanced" over time, but over time doesn't really matter. I don't want to wait a year for the limsa gear to maybe possibly be relevant. All the stats for each piece of gear in their companies should have been exactly the same. Hows that for balance for you SE? Make the stats on all the gear the same but give them different looks to go with each company. You know how long it took me to think of that idea? 5 seconds. 3 of those seconds was me typing the idea so I don't know why your team of developers couldn't think of it.

The whole "just wait we will fix it in the future" nonsense is something that you guys need to get out of your head. I am as excited about 2.0 as the next person, but some of things weve had to wait months to get fixed like the DC issue in darkhold completely destroying runs especially when the ogre room has so much crap going on it has such a high DC ratio, and the ifrit loot not being tradeable are ridiculous.

There is no "BS" with Grand Companies, you choose whichever GC you like - It's that simple, if an item isn't in all 3 it's not the end of the world, they always release better gear outside of the GC regardless, ontop of the fact there's also Materia ontop of the fact they'll be adding new crafted gear by next update if I recall, you don't choose the GC because of item selection.

The whole "just wait we will fix it in the future" nonsense is something that you guys need to get out of your head. we tank ifrit with level 1 armor, not weapons. hell I could probably tank ifrit naked.

....they have already added new items, changed stats on old items, deleted old items, etc etc.

they could very easily change it so that the items are balanced. But they wont...

some items will be better at some companies then they are at others

if it wasnt this way there would be no incentive for us to ever spread out

sorry if you dont have the items you specificaly want at yours, but thats life, as time goes on new items will be added and the balance will switch around over and over

well since this thread has gotten grosly off topic, let me explain what i already did on page 1.

I know that the items will be different, IDC about that. The point is 99% of the items from GC's have a crafted/NM droped equivalent or better, EXCEPT THAT SHIELD. It is the best in the game by a wide margin and can only be obtained from that one GC. That is what I am angry about. Now if there was a comparable shield with block rate of say maybe 140ish with block mitigation of around 80-90 then I would not care because I can go get that and still be pretty good. But in this case I cannot. And they have said nothing about changing stats on current shields, and I highly doubt they would ninja that in. And it will be months before the next patch in which I MIGHT (keyword here is might, notice it is in caps) get a chance at a new shield.

Please end all pointless flaming and lets get back ontopic now.
