Did we really think the status quo was going to stay though? I mean yeah it's understandable that players now have make choices, but adding new worlds to current NA centres wouldn't of made much difference in the grand scheme of thing, as it would of been the same Congested and Preferred worlds appearing in the update every day. Now adding new worlds (to EU) and also moving around current ones (NA) would have a bigger effect, but whether they will turn out as SE hope is a different story. Not completely behind the EU worlds being split though but having 12 worlds on one centre could be problematic...

I honestly think that it would have made some difference.

Because there’s talks already of large raiding FCs planning to move to Aether to be with the rest of the raiding community, and having 1 new server on each Aether, Primal, and Crystal would have given those FCs that are moving the opportunity to rebuild things like their FC house. As it stands now, unless they secure a house for their FC on a smaller server, they won’t have one; and they seem keen on not staying on Crystal because the raid scene is going to be comparatively smaller compared to Aether and Primal.

Same could apply to other FCs that have recruited members from other worlds that are now facing the decision to give up their FCs or to give up the static members that aren’t on their server. It’s a tough situation for some people, but I think at least 1 new server on each new DC could have helped mitigate and allow for rebuilding to some extent.

Aether already has 13 worlds, and that's with both Balmung and Mateus being significantly larger than any EU server.
