Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

There would be literal hell to pay if they teased a bunny race, name dropped Viera, AND added the Viera's home (Eryut Village) under a different name (Rak'tika Greatwood), and gave us a different race. That would hurt their game immensely.

The leaks as I recall did hint at two races, Viera and I think Ronso. Been a while, can't recall for sure. If we take that as true, given the accuracy of everything else from the same source, but also take their "This is the last race we add" as true it could be possible to see the two kinda mixed either by gender or tribe.

Considering they made a point of getting rid of single-gender races by adding male cats and femroes in 2.0 I sincerely hope they don't take a huge step back and add female only buns and possibly some male-only race

If they are not looking a bit beastly then no I wont change into one. I really hope that it will look like how most people want it to be but I am also a bit salty that they will be the last race added to FF14..Which means that I will probably stay Xaela for the rest of the game.

Not quite like that, more like a bit of sexual dimorphism. I suppose an immediately comparable example would be Etrian Odyssey 5. Therians had more bunny like women while the men had shorter cat ears, as well as their hair being very lion mane fluffy.

The males will be small and cutesy while the females will be tall/slender and heroic looking. Makes sense as in nature there are lot of species with the female being way bigger than the male.

I hope they stay with the 2 genders for the race though, with the ronzo and Nu Mou for beast tribes, that would be perfect! I wonder if we will get to see a viera preview this weekend? Like a sketch more close to the final prduct?

I will change races and it will be my main race forever! Lol ever since I’ve started playing ff14 I’ve wanted viera. It’s pretty much hands down my favorite race in the entire series.
