I'm wondering if there is going to be some time travel involved in the story line. During the stream I spotted an image of Y'shtola with non-blinded eyes. Trailer also has a quote about History being unwritten.

The hint could be where the Warrior of Light is in the trailer - And remember the words back then in 3.4 :

They (the former Warriors of Darkness from the First) fought, and fought, and fought ... until nothing was left. And the world was consumed by light.

This could be something we are also steering to. Or perhaps he even ended up at the world of the First. And there, he can't fight light with light.
So he has to adapt. To change.

And become a Warrior of Darkness himself.

Both the new game+ and world visit features are unheard of in MMOs and are actually very clever. Mind boggling.

But if I heard it correctly you cant just redo some certain aspect of the story (like MSQ battles that people wanted to do again), you have to do everything of that expansion. If that is true then this goes a bit too far with the wishes of the players. Because you could do the battles again but would have to go through every quest before that too...

Also world visit features can turn quite badly if they cant handle it or if too many people jump to certain servers.

Otherwise not so much a fan of turning into the WoD. Seemingly we get the reason for this in 4.5 which needs to be big because otherwise why should we change sides? Also we probably will take down the empire and the Ascians, so again two big conflicts in one expansion..x)

There fixed it. But yes, they didn't do much for monk, or Ala Mhigo in general, in 4.0 did they?

Talking about time travel, and forgive me if this has been said before, but Thancred without eyepatch and with that girl gives me an idea. What if that is the past Thancred with Minfilia? He did save her back then in ARR from the loose gobbue in Uldah... So this expac might rewrite the history after all?

Unlikely. Thancred in the trailer has silver eyes, which he got after he came out of the lifestream in Heavensward. Prior to that, he had brown ones.

They pretty much showed all of the events that the WoL was apart of leading up to the calamity and that he must accept the darkness hence the trailer. However I am sure there is a deeper meaning. The question is will there be more to the trailer? In the past they usually break it in parts. But here it looked like the opening trailer for the Expansion completely.
