Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

I will change if they are just like in FFXII. Tall and fierce. If they are short, not a chance.

Also, my main is a male and will only ever be male, so male viera better be here!

Im with you 100% on that, Viera are tall warriors so I really hope they respect the origianl version!

Not a good idea as you notice how roes/elves are pretty rare compared to other races. I would think SE learned from that what is considered more popular but we'll see what they decide to do when more info is released.

How is that not a good idea? A lot of people expect it to be that way, XII's design is pretty cool. Just look at Fran. If anything, people (obviously not all...) complained that Au Ras didn't end up as the original concept art. We have enough "cute" races, we need more diversity.

People will complain if only a small portion of the population plays the new race. Especially when Yoshi says it's the last race to be implemented. There will be pressure on the devs to add a new race then. Best solution would be to do it like what they did with Hyurs.

I would also prefer the original version, 100%. Just popped my Zodiac Age (never dare to erase it from my ps4 :P ) and went to the Eruyt Village just to check on the designs again, in detail. I think they have all they need to do the right thing here.

No. I never have used fantasia and likely never will. Also not surprised at this reveal, due to the Ivalice raids. It was probably more likely to happen than Bangaa, anyway.

Even then, I view this race as being rather redundant when we already have Mi'qote. Kinda felt the same about Au Ra too, but when you have to stick to at least somewhat vaguely humanoid races as playable races, I understand that options are somewhat limited in making them look diversified.
