We appear to have struck a nerve on that idea, but let's move on.
Manuel, would you not agree that what one person may like may not necessarily be a good thing? Would you agree that what a few people might like might not be liked by dozens or more of others?
With that in mind, look closely at Eureka as a whole:
- Anemos was easy when people ran trains through it and socialized with one another. There were minions, a mount, and some glam that was stupid easy to collect. Before the train, Anemos was painful for many people for about a day. The idea of party sync was raised, a feature brought into FFXI ages ago, and existed in other MMOs prior to that point, but Yoshi responded in a way where he didn't seem to understand fully.
- Pagos was a pain on release, and continued to be for so long because Yoshi killed the train, then let it come back slowly only for it to turn out we needed to grind light for the relics, and then the desired loot was locked behind yet another rng-based box from rng-based mobs, and that's not counting the heavy dose of rng to get the loot you wanted instead of more materia. Also the Bunny FATEs that didn't give exp or light, only rewards a minority of people cared about, was eventually buffed (last night) to include exp and weekly tomes, but still no light. Party Sync was brought up again, and still no dice.
- Pyros has even more loot people want. The weapons are even more rng to get the stats you want. The monsters are still beefy, and respawn rather quickly. Largely, so many people do not enjoy this kind of content, and do not appreciate the content lock on such loot as new furnishings or hairstyles. Oh, and we're bringing up party sync again, because take a wild guess what people have been wanting since the very start of Eureka, despite not liking this form of content?
- Many of us have no faith in Gi/Geos, and no desire to see this kind of content again in 5.0.
This is much of what we're saying, time and again. This is why people are realizing that the best thing they can do is not play this content, but the feedback has to keep coming even then or else the devs are blind as to why people are abandoning a form of content. The lack of a Party Sync feature is a major complaint against Eureka, a legitimate one, which has been a constant no matter how many other things were present or lacking that we disapproved of. The full Eureka experience would have benefited so much from implementing this feature, but we're not getting it.
